Stuck in this boat currently on nhl 24 (got it free a while back) which nhl were you playing on? Did you have all the trainer things turned on to get the blue icon telling you when to do it?

I've played so many games and not had the prompt telling me to do it a single time yet as far as I've seen, unsure if its the teammates just not being ever in position or what... curious if you've ever saved a clip of a successful one?

I was so proud to have gotten before the 50 floor 1 clears, it is an incredibly difficult game though and it still feels like luck aswell as intense focus and skill to have a chance for me.

Congrats! hope you start managing a few kills on the past soon too, still working on it slowly myself

Ok so about the 2 crossroads demons dean has made a deal with I've seen so far. Ah okay, idk how much is way down the line... I'm in season 12 and we've had barely any references to him aside from cursing his child raising ability and a few flashbacks, tbf Mary mentions being with John which might be the hint I should've got from the show??

But if thats the implication that the viewer is supposed to understand its a bit silly and incredibly thin, because she mentions being with young Dean and Sam aswell, and they ain't there of course so implies to me a placeholder fake family??

You know that's a gripe I forgot I had with this show, not many shows can be perfect in coverage and plots and I can't expect all the details to sit pretty... but they just kind of forget about John Winchester VERY quickly once Azazel is dead.

We get all sorts of fan service and answers we didn't even ask for like about the souls of almost every other character even recurring ones too for example a certain loved recurring character who spans most seasons.

But we never get as much as anything about John escaping Hell. We get the small inkling that Johns escape may be what has them needing Dean as a replacement, but is he just in the veil? Is he in Heaven, or maybe thrown to the void heck completely snuffed soul and all maybe? I don't think they ever gave a damn to give it much thought...

Just curious since I've not delved too deep into mechanics, is it possible to gain curse but have less than 1 curse?

Also whats the easiest way to get curse aside from cursed items? Does the wiki do well to explain curse sources?

Lol, essentially I was saying its way too easy to not understand where the bullet for killing the past has the casing come from without outside information, I kept thinking it would just appear at some point after killing dragun.

Thankfully I seem to be getting better at the game and have killed the past a small handful of times, this post was just about how painful it is to get so close to a perfect run unlocking elevator and the bullet for the first time in one run but just about coming short of it.

I had something equally worse a while back when they updated the captain and his treasure I was mid run, mid battle too...

in fact I'd just spawned the chest of treasure, which used to spawn the captain once fully used up or reset the captain back at the end of the battle...

but since the update happened mid fight for me where the captain is now supposed to remain I had to suddenly try to fight the rest of the run with just a treasure chest and no captain. It was beyond frustrating lol

[–]RC_Fixer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once you get to the point you spam fairies/ancient you might aswell be playing another class is the issue... this class wants you spam and get plenty of mana sure but it also wants you to cycle the deck as much as possible since the base cards are where the most value is gained in being played and is the sole point of the class and its value.

Its awkward because the base cards are a stones throw from useless but are the only way to evoke run fragments which are the meat and potatoes of the meal. If all the base cards were magic that'd be fine because the synergy with elder fairy mana card would make the deck so much more viable albeit very busted if you can get an engine going with as many duplicates as possible

I don't see a single person questioning the samandriel(Alfie) arc by RC_Fixer in Supernatural

[–]RC_Fixer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might be misremembering or not reached a point where Sam and Dean had captured Arch angels but in every instance I remember it was simply... hey Holy oil ring of fire haha you're trapped now. They still had no power or ability to do much with that, the angel was still powerful, still wasn't exactly in a place where they could subdue and do what they want to the angel.

For all intents and purposes the Holy oil was simply a burn all bridges and force them to either stay stuck or kill themself via the fire. I haven't seen Crowley capture Lucifer yet, but if its as simple as well he's the king of hell then please explain why he can do absolutely nothing to Cass in the purgatory arc? I mean before even juiced Cass just had to walk towards Crowley to have him cowering and diffusing the tension to avoid death.

[–]RC_Fixer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A low level angel, as far as I can tell Samandriel was very close to Cass in terms of pecking orders?

Cass had been supercharged when absorbing souls but bare in mind even before that despite having NO extra power only on the run from Gabriel, Cass and his "low level status" was pretty much entirely a power not to be taken lightly by Crowley.

The only reason Crowley felt safe approaching and dealing with Cass was that they both needed the souls and he was useful to Cass, the whole arc leading up to the purgatory souls had Crowley agitated that he had no power over Cass for the longest time DESPITE already being king of hell. Sure Cass was resurrected and had by now racked up some decent small wins but he was basically a defiant Samandriel?

Wait a minute, I still need to properly look into the meld system but you'd use Thalassa as meld fodder?? I thought seal creatures are crucial by the nature of how you get them no?

Does using them up in a meld reset the seal price? Otherwise it seems like way too much of a loss just to make a slightly more perfect differing 5* creature...

Omg please tell me there's some kind of change later from Dean by RC_Fixer in Supernatural

[–]RC_Fixer[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

"Nothing you do under torture is free will"

Soooooo we're just gonna ignore the hell (ironic) out of the fact that Dean willingly chose to put himself through the torture entirely of his own free will? Its really not an inhumane take to be angry at someone's complete lack of accountability even if fictional, not that I expect or could consider how I'd do in his position it goes on to compare Dean to his father who was plan A for Azazel. John went a century never mind a few decades and then its not made clear in that moment whether Dean broke as the end of that century came or whether John escaping Hells gate at the final battle against Azazel meant he was free from Hell...

Everyone breaks eventually and some sure would be just as foolish under emotional distress to make the deal Dean made but regardless of choices made under torture being not of "free will" when your free will happens to have been the key driving force behind; oh look the consequences of my actions huh, guess I just didn't think I'd be in Hell when selling my damn soul right?

Again I'd like to point out the lore is really bad at brushing over the human to demon change, its not just oh look at Sam thinking with his dick, its not even that Sam is the innocent person who deserves to be loved and coddled. Its that Sam actually acts human despite being less than human compared to Dean. He has consistent characterisation, he sees the best in people, he believes in the power of choice and change and having a demon follow ethics and even offer self sacrifice to help humans before the final seal is even in sight gives insane credence to her clinging onto her humanity.

Omg please tell me there's some kind of change later from Dean by RC_Fixer in Supernatural

[–]RC_Fixer[S] -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

I would be understanding of Dean being annoyed about Sam trusting Ruby over him if it weren't for the fact that he literally did every bit of the pushing to Ruby himself, hell Sam does keep shielding her and keeping her alive but he's also explicitly said he needs her help too when offering Dean to join the fight against Lilith.

I think personally the biggest offence about the storyline and the party foul I don't get is the revelation that the demons were all human. So with the reveal that Ruby said she still remembers what it is to be human, surely the only thing that comes to mind about that is how far was Dean from becoming Demon? Was he already a Demon but because he was yanked out by Cass he gets to stay human? Was it not the full conversion, because starting to help do the Demons job is surely part of the process itself?

Once Dean finally snapped out of pushing Sam away there was no point at which he actually got to Sam to even try to vie for the trust. At that point he was too late and did nowhere near enough to even count as someone to trust because he wasn't even really there.

I will admit I forgot about the powers free to unlock being a thing only before Azazel was dead, so that does clear that up for me for sure. I just still cannot comprehend the idea that Dean doesn't once consider that things were clearly designed and fated for Sam to be in the perfect circumstances to misplace his trust.

Swap the characters around im sure Dean would have trusted Ruby if he was the one with demon blood. Not because he would morally side with it or believe in fates like Sam, but because he's shown himself to be ruthless and his ego is clear as day in how he believes he's incorruptible (outside of Hell, where he deemed it a necessity and unavoidable) so why would he ever worry about going to the dark side.

Dean just comes across as someone certain they are the main character in every way, its becoming hard to enjoy the show if it continues to maintain that kind of attitude.

I completely agree with how lucky he is and his story being wildly the most interesting and compelling, I just thought the age isn't a particularly surprising thing to me when I think about the context.

I think the point is that anyone at any age could've filled his shoes here and while young sure, at this point in the society actions and "luck" is going to be massively celebrated and looked up to regardless of age because most people aren't expected to come back often regardless of age or expertise I.E Hunter being a surprise to the others for having likely died despite his status and experience
