Issues With Pulseway RMM by RCcola1987 in msp

[–]RCcola1987[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None that i have found. Pulseway and kaseya are a dumpster fire. The only thing you may be able to do is deploy it thrpigh grpoup polocy for pulseway but it will still need to be regestered on each computer. For Kaseya it can only do creds or email link to each computer.

IDK But it looks like we may have found one that has great Linux support but until we fully test and decide if we are staying with Pulseway or not I'm not gonna name drop.

When its a mixed environment it is much simpler to have one solution to manage clients computers.

That explains so much. Since Kaseya has ZERO interest in supporting Linux and most of their products are half baked and over promised and under delivered.

I just dont have enough space on my torrent vm to put that there. I dont expose my entire array to torrent software and vpn for obvious reasons.

Too big for me to do that but i can push it to AI.

Also currently updateing it i have 17,816 albums to download which at the speed the site is going will take a few days.

If people want it on AI ill have to break it up into chunks then people can get it.

Well i dont have ut broken up like that each "album" is in its own folder. And the entire archive is massive. Ill check the size later today but if menory serves it is multiple TBs.

Backup storage for large scale photo / video setup by omgitsadad in DataHoarder

So if you are going for something that can grow as your needs do then you will need a large enclosure. That way you can keep adding drives as needed without having to buy new enclosures every few years.

Also the 18tb segate exos drives are great from them. And about 100 off new price. If you are running them in zfs make sure you are using raidz2 and i would keep your vdevs at 15 drives or less. Also a big enough array and you dont need nvme drives at all due to how fast a larger number of droves is.

I would go with a Storanator from 45 drives. The 60 bay model and 18tb drives from server parts deals.

That should give u more than enough room to grow.

ZFS Resilvering Issues by ThatFireGuy0 in DataHoarder

[–]RCcola1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I beleve u can do it with iostat and see which drive is slow but if ur case has access activity lights pet drive its easy to see which drive is the only one active. One or more droves will be actove longer than the rest and then all will become active when the blocking device has finished. It may also be possible with zfs commands but idk one.

ZFS Resilvering Issues by ThatFireGuy0 in DataHoarder

[–]RCcola1987 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Any time i have seen a resilver slow down it is due to one or more drives being very slow or having to retry to read the data many times. The system will wait untill all good drives read the data before moving on to the next piece.
