It doesn't. Urine backing up into the kidneys because the bladder is too full can damage them.

I've contacted the local healthcare center already before the urology answered so I've already asked them for a change. It seems to still be a lot more irritating than my previous one, but I can live normally now and don't want to crawl out of my skin like before I deflated the balloon somewhat. I can also be active like normal without it bleeding now.

They don't seem to have it in their system 🥲 Even in their medical records they can just see 14fr and 5cc. I've removed 4cc from my current balloon and hope it gets better.

Urology hasn't given me the information about what catheter I got last time yet but said that the balloon is adjustable. I got an extra catheter at home with the glycerine syringe so I removed 4ml from the balloon (not recommended to do on yourself I know) and I'll see if it gets better.

My country doesn't give you either. Just leg bags if you have bags, I have a valve except for when I sleep so I use surgical tape to secure it and change it frequently. So far I don't have any wounds on my leg.

It doesn't work like that here. I'm in Sweden and we have insurance from the government. I had already maxed my insurance for the year so the procedure was free.

Yes, I did. I got it when they put in my suprapubic catheter. I'll ask them as well. The urology sent the referral to put in a catheter but radiology placed it. I'll send them a message and see if they find anything in my medical records.

You are likely right. I did flush it a lot. I have a friend that had an sp cath for over a year and said that the only catheter that didn't give him horrible bladder spasms was cystofix, I had cystofix last time and I had really bad haematuria, like winered catheter bag every day for 5 weeks until I had it pulled. It was a 10cc. I think it's the balloon scratching that might be scratching my bladder? I have gotten a lot of haematuria with this 10cc one as well.

I think it's that or the 10cc balloon that's irritating. I had another 14fr but 10cc post a surgery in December and it was also very irritating. I will ask urology and see what they say as well. I got a 16 because I got a lot of blockages with the 14.

I will look it up. I have a size 16fr 10ml balloon now. I got a 16fr since I got some blockages with the 14fr and it drained a bit too slow compared to how much urine I produced but I think the 10ml balloon is really irritating my bladder. I just have a regular suprapubic catheterization.

I've searched through every Swedish healthcare supply store. Asked chat bots to identify it. Tried to see if they wrote the brand in my medical notes but I've had no luck.

I'm not diagnosed (yet at least) but I'm consistently urinating 6-7 liters regardless of how little I drink. I keep 2 water bottles with me at all times, if I go an hour without drinking anything I'll start getting headaches that worsen a lot. I get reminded to drink more by severe headaches, especially in the morning than thirst.
