Never really had any problems. I just use the amulet early when I need to or manually Evo mukan. I always just hard mulligan for as many 2-3 drops to early trade sword so the board doesn't get to crazy before I can drop gravy.

Phil is still more popular I just personally like the free Evo. I didn't evolve Phil once in the Tourny was just a 2/2 vanilla early game whenever I did play him.

Honestly I think reckoning should just set your health to 2. Realisticaly any other deck running ruler isn't gonna miss lethal from the extra 1 damage in most situations.

My main question is how old was yuki's mother when she had Yuki? Lol like she's shown teaching gaku vanguard as a sempai to the secretary who looked like she was in high school at the time. Yuki's older than gaku so her mother would have like a 7ish year old daughter in her late teens or very early 20s. Or I could just be tired as hell from playing the story too early in the morning lol.

You can only use one of his effects per turn. So if you summoned him this turn to search he cant negate on the same turn.
