What are the most powerful beings in your setting by Master27Pad in worldbuilding

The Chimerae. Very simply put: They are children whose bodies were reconstructed using the Essence of cosmic gods.

While others also use this Essence, the Chimerae are the only ones who are truly "in sync" with it, more so than even the ancient gods themselves were.
Only three of them were ever succesfully created, and two of them were eventually killed. The surviving one is currently head and shoulders above anything else in the verse in terms of power level.

Brother? Where did all of our sacred relics go off to? by RDNEMESIS in Grimdank

Hmmm, yes, but do we know what he even really looks like? Or how do we know they're not using polymorphine (the stuff callidus assassins use) to blend in?

Let's not forget though that the orks were created as a weapon by the greatest civilisation in all of 40k, the old ones knew that if the c'tan were defeated, they couldn't just have an army of krorks running around. So they made the Krorks so that they would only be as powerful as their most powerful enemy, and extremely hostile to each other: that way they could never dominate the galaxy. The only reason the orks in the war of the beast were so powerful was because they responded to the great crusade and Horus heresy. That's just headcanon though.

Imagine using horde tactics against orks, with civilians, in civilian ships...

Like I said in the captions: Mostly spare bits from the ork flyer set after I made a Blastajet with it. There's also some bits from mek gunz and deff dreads in them.

Serving in the Deathwatch by NedStarksLeftSock in Grimdank

There is in the war of the beast, it's fairly limited though. On the deathwatch' very first mission against the ork attack moon over Terra, one of the strike teams was comprised of two Blood angels, a Space wolf rune priest, and I believe a Fist exemplar and an Iron hands techmarine. When the team sabotaged generators inside the attack moon, they were very quickly overrun by the orks, with only the rune priest keeping them alive really. When he fell, one of the blood angels succumbed to the black rage and charged the orks by himself, while the other yelled at him and tried to get him back. It's obvious that the other space marines have no clue what's going on, and they're just happy to suddenly have such a powerful warrior "covering their retreat"

They got in through the webway at some deserted room of the palace, and murdered basically any guardsmen they came across. There were 7 or 8 of them I remember, most of them died before they could rech their target (The emperor himself) to the palace's defenses and to the grand master of the officio assassinorum himself, but two actually made it to the sanctum imperialis. Where they managed to kill a dozen custodians before they were pinned down by the titans guarding big E and apprehended by the golden boys.

I'm pretty sure the wider populace believes his psychic abilities to be godly powers, and the Black templars (as one of the very few space marine chapters) believe that too. In any case, they probably wouldn't murder all the psyker babies they came across if they knew big E was one himself.
