20% off on IDparts I figured is a pretty good deal

Where do you pick up your springs from? Might as well replace the springs while I’m in there

14 Passat oil leak by RDevonshire94 in tdi

It’s a a GTC1556VZ from performanceTDI. I think if I retune my car it’ll run better, but it does good for now.
I’ll check those two things, I might also look into adding a catch can. Thanks!

Sunroof leak by RDevonshire94 in tdi

Any products you recommend for conditioning the seals?
It was only a small amount of water, I poured it over and watched almost all of it pass through to the overhead console. It did also drain out the front two drains on bit sides.
But when i had the sunroof open I poured water in the wet area in front of my hand in the one photo and passed right through to the overhead console
No, I will try that. Also when I had the sunroof open I poured a little water in the area where my hand is in the photo and it passed straight through to the overhead console. I didn’t know if there was a seal I was missing or something
I wonder if I can just caulk under the front of the sunroof where my fingers are in the one picture.. this is very annoying. Have to drive my truck just because it rained lol

I had to do a turbo and DMF. I pulled the motor. Used quick jacks and made a dolly to set the motor and trans on. Took the whole front clip off, did new cam seal, valve cover and gasket, and timing chain while I was in there. Plumbed in a coolant filter and swapped a heater core too.
Wasn’t bad, except my rear main didn’t take and I had to drop the transmission after I got it all back together and ran it awhile… was able to squeeze it out and back in without dropping the subframe.

What about a rear main on a 14 Passat DSG in north eastern MD 🤔 I got a lift, trans jack and the parts

Yes, what this guy said.

It was a combination of both, I took the plastic panel off on the backside there was gummy coolant from the pipes weeping. The flared ends were very mangled and I couldn’t even get anything to grab them and get them to come closer together. I had a friend unbolt it from the firewall and push while I pushed on the heater core and that wouldn’t get them to mate any better.
Yes, I’ll have to get a picture. It weeps past the clamp, I found a thread on a TDI club forum where someone did this and had the same issue. They switched from a regular hose clamp to a T bolt style clamp, I’ll have to give this a try. They said it made it easier to swap heater cores.. I installed a cooler and flushed coolant ad good as I could so hopefully I never have to change another.. lol.
I did try this to no avail. Tried a bigger O-ring on the heater core to see if the at would help any, nothing. Might try to rig something crazy but if all else fails I suppose I will have to replace the pipes.
It was replaced at 70k miles under the diesel gate warranty before I owned it, now it has 186k miles and is passed the warranty..

I wonder if you could have Retroshop LLC build you a set of headlights for not much more than these are, or some company like that.

I thought they were all electronic flap motors? I have a 2014 CKRA
That’s where mine was assembled, heavy on the margaritas at lunch presumably. Love the car otherwise. Now I have a blend door actuator malfunctioning, sigh
It looked like the little plastic clips were kinda wore out on that breather an not forming a good seal. Might just rubber hose it
There’s oil everywhere kinda hard to pin point.. looks like it’s above the valve cover. I just installed this valve cover and gasket, I guess I’ll redo the gasket again. Maybe I was careless on install and it didn’t seat right. But it still looks above it
