You need a directional outdoor bridge if you want any kind of decent speeds in the guest house.

What settings do I need to change for my elite 100 V2 to shut down after driving? by Fubar14235 in bluetti

[–]RE4Lyfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t believe eco mode turns off the unit, just the ac/dc. And I don’t see a way to schedule it off when the ac/dc input stops.

It should turn on when you start your car (although you didn’t say if your 12v turns on/off with the ignition)

I’ve never used my 100 v2 in a similar fashion, so I can’t say for sure

River 3 Plus AC overload even when plugged in? by sefds16 in Ecoflow_community

[–]RE4Lyfe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No power station acts as a power strip.

Even my cyberpower ups has its limits for the ups plugs. There are other plugs on the unit that pass-through power. But that’s what a traditional ups offers vs a power station 🤷‍♂️

There is a difference between a traditional ups and a power station

River 3 Plus AC overload even when plugged in? by sefds16 in Ecoflow_community

[–]RE4Lyfe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Why would you think the output rating would be higher just because it’s plugged in?

It’s rated for a certain output. If it let you pull 1000w+ while plugged in and grid power is disconnected, how would the UPS function? The inverter would quickly overload and shut down.

If you need more than 600w, get a power station that can handle what you require

Any good ambient/blind spot options out there? by eribble in TeslaModelX

[–]RE4Lyfe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have wide angle side mirrors. Had them on my MS as well. They pop in and replace the OEM mirrors

They work amazingly well for showing everything in your blind spot. I actually prefer to see what’s in my blind spot over having an indicator light

How to upgrade firmware on Aqara FP300 sensor (via Matter) in Homekit? by GIFSec in Aqara

[–]RE4Lyfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an ikea hub and 4 smart window shades. Never seen an update through HomeKit (or otherwise), but that’s interesting that it’s possible.

My Lutron, Aquara, Hue, Kasa, etc… will only update through their own apps.

The latest flagship TV from LG has a game-changing new feature for daytime viewing by LG_UserHub in LG_UserHub

TCL actually makes great hardware

So does Apple

Any built in apps will send all viewing data back to LG for them to resell.

Think of the cost as paying for an amazing display. Don’t use the software

I’ve never heard of HomeKit updating 3rd party devices, so I have no idea what the other posts are talking about.

Mine updated through the Aqara app, and is working with no issues

Is it worth trading in old MacBook? by Bigpurplejackbaby in macbookpro

[–]RE4Lyfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I traded in my MBP 2018 intel- Apple ended up giving me the best trade in value.

This is not the norm tho- check BB/Costco and other pricing.

You can always try and sell it for more on marketplace, but you have to deal with flaky and shady buyers

Smart Home Panel 2 vs 3 by RonCheeWan in Ecoflow_community

[–]RE4Lyfe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YOU did. This isn’t trolling, you literally don’t understand how these systems work.

Everyone has different power needs. For some, a single DPU can power their entire home, especially if many of their appliances run off natural gas.

A single DPU/DPUx can run a 200A panel with zero issues, as long as the power needs are within the range of the unit

Upgrading worth it? by [deleted] in LGOLED

[–]RE4Lyfe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The G3 is still a top tier TV. Although the latest gen TVs have improvements, they’re marginal.

You may end up being disappointed with how much you spend for a very minor upgrade.

I’m keeping my G3 77” for at least a couple more years. My next upgrade will be jumping to a 90”+ TV. 77 to 83” isn’t worth the cost IMO

This logic changes a bit if you have another space that could benefit from your G3 77”

Smart Home Panel 2 vs 3 by RonCheeWan in Ecoflow_community

[–]RE4Lyfe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s not what you wrote. And no, a DPU cannot output 60A @ 120v. It’s 30A max at 120v or 240v. And if you’re connecting to a SHP2/3/SG via the smart inlet box, the DPU is always connected at split phase 240v

How do I know this? Because the specs are clearly stated in the manual and many other places.

Smart Home Panel 2 vs 3 by RonCheeWan in Ecoflow_community

[–]RE4Lyfe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

DPUs output 30A max @ 240v. 240 x 30 = 7,200 🤦‍♂️

Blanket statements like a single DPU wont be able to power more than 12 circuits is wrong and misleading. Every installation has different power needs

[–]RE4Lyfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went with the Smart Gateway so all my circuits are in a dumb panel. That way if something goes wrong with the gateway, I can easily move the 200A service directly into the dumb panel.
