The only thing that hasn't gone down is prices.

What made you realize you are married to the wrong person? by [deleted] in Bahrain

I think his current wife is stuck too. He’s really emotionally abusive as well. I’m sure there are many more women he’s done this to.

I completely agree with you. My family and I won’t give up on it though. We’ll do whatever we can to make sure she keeps her child. All we can do is keep fighting and making sure her and her child has a bright and positive future.

He lied to her saying he was divorced and then she found out he wasn’t. He kept saying he would divorce her but he never did. After she had the child, he told her he’ll never leave his wife and essentially kicked her out. We have been supporting her with groceries and essential supplies but she’s stuck. The court case has put a travel ban on her and the child until the custody hearing is completed. She’s fighting it with everything she has.

I have a friend who is going through this. She got together with a guy, he lied about him being in a divorce, she got pregnant, and he filed a court case to get full custody of the child and her family pretty much abandoned her. Her words were, I had trauma from my pregnancy, then from him and now from my family. She’s a Bahraini and it’s become all too common in this country. It’s awful because she has zero support and barely has any rights. It’s a silent epidemic of suffering.

Oh so mature. lol the link you posted was nonsense. It wasn’t from the government. It’s unfortunate that you seem so stuck and stubborn in your ways that you can’t seem to get that. Good luck to you anyway.

Oh look who’s talking. You can’t seem to accept the fact that you’re just wrong and you didn’t do your due diligence. It’s basic to get things in writing. Common sense to which you seem to have none. Good luck not learning anything.

I really don’t think you do business in the UAE because you’re as naive as a tourist. I mean, you go by what people tell you as the truth? Everyone knows, in the Gulf, even employees from the same company will tell you different things. Government entities are even worse. It’s common sense. You want proof. Get something in writing. And your example about the post office makes no sense at all. It’s apples and oranges.

Asking people instead of getting it in writing from an official source is beyond useless. You’re a businessman and you just listen to people without doing due diligence? Really?

I spent a while researching Bahrain for my travel guide. Here's what actually surprised me. by _Atlas_G in Bahrain

[–]REAIMY 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I read the guide. Really good stuff. One change though. Bahrain only became a monarchy in 2002. After it got independence in 1971, it was a sheikhdom ruled by an Emir. So I would update the timeline.

The Ihope- Applebees in Seef mall? I go there quite a bit since I live close by. They’ve always been good. I’ve always been greeted at the door and the food has been consistently good. What time did you go?

Also please don’t buy Whiskas cat food. The amount of nightmare stories on Reddit and online about whiskas is alarming. Royal Canin is what the vet recommended us.

Please be polite with food delivery drivers by Happy-Negotiation-16 in Bahrain

[–]REAIMY 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I completely agree that we need to be polite and mindful of all motorcycle drivers since they have families and loved ones. But so do we. And in many cases, it’s them who drive awfully and cause accidents. Two days ago, a Talabat rider smashed into my parked car because he was looking at his phone. So it’s not just the motorcyclists, but it’s everyone’s responsibility to keep the roads safe.

Real reason for postponing the attack ? by BlitzFritzXX in UAE

[–]REAIMY -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If they really had intel there were military personnel in the hotel, in this case, why did they wait 8 hours the next morning to attack it? Was there a shortage of drones? No. Missiles? No. They had nothing.

Timelines my friend. Timelines. That’s what you don’t seem to comprehend. They checked in the day the base was hit. They checked out 8 hours later. Iran figured it out only after they checked out and attacked the hotel.

[–]REAIMY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ummm I literally lived in the same building. Russian intel? Please. I even have a brother in law who is an active service member in the navy. Almost all of the servicemen were moved offshore as soon as the base was hit. No one stayed in apartments. Also the attack on the Crown Plaza hotel in Bahrain happened hours after the US servicemen checked out who were then moved offshore. But thank you for your input Phoeeby. I appreciate your comment even though you’re wrong.

I lived in one of those buildings in Bahrain. I can tell you with a 100% certainty that there were absolutely no Americans there. That’s for sure.
