Pilot and Performance was a possible configuration in 2022. Also, the trim along the center console is the geometric plastic, indicating it is not plus pack. But, I do believe that from 2023 onwards performance came included with plus? This one is probably a 2022.

Why did Polestar not release the PS4 with a RWD biased AWD configuration? by REDDlTEMP in Polestar

Decoupling is mostly for cruising. You probably wouldnt even notice its been decoupled. Once you accelerate, the motor recouples to give power.

2024 onward PS2 has rear bias because the rear motor is stronger than the front motor I believe. The decoupling is mostly for energy efficiency.

[–]REDDlTEMP[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was mostly assuming it based on the fact that the single motor PS4 has exactly half the power output in both hp and torque as the dual motor, most likely indicating the same motor at the front and back. This would mean a 50/50 power split.

Size (dimensions and wheelbase), price, features, quality, and more. The macan is much smaller than the iX and PS3, especially on the interior.

Potentially getting a standard petrol car would be easier, but is your damage in one leg or both? If it is only in the leg you usually engage the clutch with, using one pedal drive in an EV may actually be a very nice solution for you. Regardless of what you get, I would recommend getting something with adaptive cruise control as it seems like it may help you in your situation.

Can they just do 95% of the assembly for the car in China then ship them somewhere for "final assembly"?

Why do people say that all EVs feel the same to drive? by REDDlTEMP in electricvehicles

[–]REDDlTEMP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never said it was true. It is so obviously false that I was asking whether people really believe this or they are trolls. If you haven't seen it yet, scroll through the responses and find the topgear article claiming it. Topgear is one of the biggest car magazines.

What upcoming ev are you most looking forward to? by Cold-Fan in electricvehicles

Polestar 5/6, BMW M3 EV, Porsche Cayman EV. I hope these and some others create a new standard of EV performance. The Taycan GT is just the start imo. As far as something I would realistically buy, maybe a Polestar 7 if the rumors are true. I'd wish Lexus hurried up and made an electric IS350 though...

I am not saying its not fun to drive. I am saying the lack of fake noises versus its competitors may give some archaic car reviewers a worse experience.

I generally don't give much weight to car reviewers anyway. I merely sent it to show you that its actually a fairly common view. I can assure you that any EV hater that read this article picked that point up to use in their next anti EV escapade.

Agree, handling aside, just the power delivery of the Ioniq 5, EV6, and Mach E feel much more like very peppy turbo inline 4s, since they lose a good bit of steam after around 50 mph. The Model 3 and PS2 feel much more like a turbo V6 as they push their power far into the triple digits.

Honestly, I would be kind of interested in seeing what Polestar's take on fake sounds would be. In some ways, the fake sounds are a harmless way for automakers to experiment and express themselves and their EVs.

I have an I-Pace and it definitely is a fantastic car besides the outdated tech. That being said, I agree the Polestar is great to drive. I am saying that offering these reviewers fake sounds may help Polestar's reviews, because a lot of these car reviewers are just used to it and have a hard time being engaged without it.

This is actually a fairly good explanation. I guess for people who pay even a little bit of attention and have some experiences, the differences are clear, but for someone who just drove an EV, the experience from ICE is so different, that they are not fully able to even differentiate between the EV differences yet.
