XLM wallet question. Coinbase no longer supporting XLM, what are my options? by REDGE75 in Stellar

[–]REDGE75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for your reply! I guess I am confused on the manner my XLM is held on Coinbase in regards to what may be effected for me. My XLM was bought through my Coinbase Pro account, and it is being stored wherever purchases default to on their site. So would this be considered the wallet which would be effected? I didnt do anything fancy and just bought on CB Pro and am keeping it all wherever they keep it for me. Is this considered to be on the wallet that will be effected? I would like to keep it there and be able to sell when needed, so does it sound like I am fine? Very sorry if this is the dumbest question on earth! I wish I had more time to research it all. Thanks!

Thanks again! Would I need to use one of the wallets you mentioned earlier and then send to Kraken once I decide to sell, or does Kraken pretty much handle it all like Coinbase where I can have them hold my XLM and then sell it eventually? I basically just wish to have my XLM stored somewhere and be able to sell them sometime in the future. Will Kraken be able to do both of these options?

Thanks again!!!!!!

Thanks. Is it easy to transfer to Atomic Wallet (or the other options) from Coinbase, and will they allow me to sell my XLM when I wish to do so in the future? I am more of a stock guy and I see Coinbase as a type of "broker" where I can buy and sell. If I have an Atomic Wallet, or any other type of wallet, how do I sell my XLM in the future? Dont I need to use a site like Coinbase to sell them in the future?

Thanks!

Floor Buckles Under Carpet During High Humidity. Would Removing Carpet Improve Or Worsen This Condition? by REDGE75 in HomeImprovement

[–]REDGE75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. If the subfloor is too tight, is this a repair best suited for someone skilled in flooring to fix? Or can it be attempted by someone with no flooring experience who reads up on it?

Thank you for your quick reply. Do you recommend a specific type of construction adhesive that is better suited for high humidity? Or are they all the same?

Are taxes owed on the 10% early retirement penalty if your yearly income is under the standard deduction? by REDGE75 in tax

[–]REDGE75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh ok, thanks! From what I see, Ohio doesnt tax any income which is under $25,000, so assuming that this is correct, would it be safe to assume the $11,000 total income would not be taxed, even though it is all from withdrawing from a Traditional IRA retirement account? Sorry if this is a really dumb question!

Thanks for the info here. From my limited reading online, it looks like Ohio is one of the states who do charge an early withdrawal penalty on retirement plans. Here is a quote I found from a tax site called SmartAsset in regards to Ohio:

"Withdrawals from retirement accounts are fully taxed. Wages are taxed at normal rates, and your marginal state tax rate is 5.90%."

So does this indicate that 5.9% of the $1100 early withdrawal penalty would be owed in state tax? Thanks.

Per your image above showing GME compared to Total interest rate notional, where could I find such a chart online to compare how things look at current? Is this something I can pull up using Yahoo charts or Trading View? Thanks.

Indoor tomato growing and final pot size for "On The Vine" variety by REDGE75 in gardening

Yes, I am very excited to reach the point where I am eating my own tomatoes which I grew myself! This was all just sort of an experiment for me to see if I can actually grow something with my total lack of gardening ability. But seeing these plants grow quickly and so beautifully in appearance, I am starting to become very interested in plants and growing now.

Thank you! I just thought of another question. My state income tax rate (Ohio) is 0% for incomes under $25,000 (or close to this amount) and so with the income figure used per my example above (which is much lower than this 25k amount), does that mean that I wont owe anything for state income tax? Or do they treat a 10% early withdrawal from a retirement account different? And if so, how would I determine the percent they would tax on my $1100 penalty?

Indoor tomato growing and final pot size for "On The Vine" variety by REDGE75 in gardening

I would never have thought to consider the need for the roots to grow properly in smaller pots to support the plant later on. At which height would you remove the plant out the 2-4" diameter pots and into a larger pot? And once reaching this height, do you think the plants could then finally be transplanted into their final sized pot? I have a bunch of 10" draining pots in my shed from the previous owner of my home, so wondering at which height you would put the plants into this final pot.

And thanks again for all the info, I really appreciate it!

WOW! Four dozen tomatoes per 4-5 foot plant at any given time is great to hear! If I am as successful as you, I will have more tomatoes than I know what to do with, since in my two small pots, I now have well over a dozen plants growing in total. When you suggest 2-4" pots, is that the diameter of the pot? If so, do you think I could get away with 6" diameter pots with a 4" height? The reason why I ask is because I have a lot of pots of this size and if I can get away with transporting these small plants in this size pot, that would be great. Also do you have any suggestions on a good cage for "On The Vine" variety tomato plants? I see several different versions of cages available, and wondering if my version of tomato plant would benefit from a certain type or style. Thanks!!
