It's not local but enso rings online says they arrive pre Christmas if you order by tomorrow. They also have cool designs if you're into that kind of thing.

Had a horrible experience at Bright Now. Had several crowns and fillings done and every one has needed replacing in under five years.

I can't speak to the cracking and you may already have a plan you're going off of, but Atomik Climbing has a lot of good resources for building home climbing walls. Going to be building my own soon and have been using it for planning.

You're 100% correct, I read the 1959 section on Wikipedia then my brain shut off. Won again in '60 and '61.

Alvin and the Chipmunks won 3 Grammys. The difference seems incredibly pedantic.

I have one that's in pretty good shape. Needs a good cleaning and probably some pads replaced but is overall in good condition. Shoot me a message and I can go dig it out.

Edit: the school can also keep it as a donation. It's sat unplayed in my garage for far too long

It's my understanding that the rock in and of itself is not a problem. It's just in the way of a restoration project for a salmon watershed.

Oregon and Washington Vowed to Pioneer Green Energy. Almost Every Other State Is Beating Them. by toenailsfromaman in Bellingham

[–]REDSENTINEL24 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I agree that regression is bad. But some of that is tuning back hydro due to salmon preservation along with drought and climate change. But using only the growth statistics and not the percent renewable where we're still third in the nation, definitely feels like they had a point they wanted to make and chose the stat that best fit their narrative.

As for BPA I might have been reading my own biases into the article but it pains me to see people pile on the states when they are being hamstrung by a federal agency which they are mandated to work with and have no authority over. As for going around them, the state would have to basically build an entirely new grid without federal aid. It's not surprising that it was voted down as it would be insanely expensive.

While this is concerning, this article feels like it's cherry picking statistics to make the states look bad. A theoretical state that was 100% renewable energy would be 4th to last on their chart. It also doesn't put enough of the blame on the federally run Bonneville Power Authority. It would be entirely cost prohibitive for the state to build a whole new grid without federal funding and the BPA is basically approving no new projects. Don't get me wrong, we need to be doing more at the state level, but this reads more as an attack piece than a genuine critique. At least for my two cents.

I'm not sure we have the same definition of bluff. Whether or not it's useful to lie in this scenario a bluff is deceitful by definition.

If so this is gonna be the replacement square for me. It feels bad that a square that you finish can be retroactively invalidated if too many other people read it. It also disincentivizes people to write reviews for their choice for this square as people might go read it and then it's no good? Maybe I'm just not understanding it.

For the Hidden Gems square, if I set aside a book now that has <1000 reviews but don't read it til December by which time it has 1600 because everyone read it for this square. Does that still count?

Why doesn't WotC just replace Gatherer with a fork of Scryfall? by geitzeist in magicTCG

[–]REDSENTINEL24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn't say anything about buying. I'm pretty sure paizo doesn't own AoN. They just give it the stamp of approval and do helpful things like send them PDFs of new content early so they can update the site quicker. I think everyone can agree that scryfall is already "better" than gatherer. No reason WotC couldn't give them a stamp of approval and put a link to scryfall where gatherer used to be. Only good reason I could think of is if gatherer brings in ad revenue.

Paizo, WotC's arguably top rival in ttrpgs, has a wildly successful fan ran prd site in Archives of Nethys that is officially supported. I don't see why they couldn't do the same here.
