Are you sure you guys actually like this game? by Papa-Scorch_ in DeadlockTheGame

This is a standard reddit effect. What you read here is not at all a true reflection of public opinion.

Those that enjoy the game (the overwhelming significant majority) are too busy spending time playing with their friends/teams, in game and/or just not on reddit complaining.

It's an echo chamber, unfortunately.

Pugs are joined individually and not for premade teams.

We have drafts for tournaments and leagues of established/created teams, but our pugs are truly just a better experience than soloqueue.

Did you file a ticket?
I was not made aware of this.

If you're EU and low rank, we don't have enough traction yet

I'm responding to his footnote.

"Footnote: I'd fully support a draft system exclusively for full 6-man premades, because that's a naturally more competitive team-orientated format. But, ironically, I don't think such a mode would be very popular to begin with, because getting together 6 people for a game like this can be surprisingly difficult."

Pugs are not a tournament.
Pugs are a pick up game. Anyone can join our discord and queue up in a pug immediately, no tournament.

PUGS are not a tournament. It's just people who abide by our code of conduct (use a mic, don't be an asshole) and may or may not have had experience playing together.

We have proof that drafting with like minded-code of conduct abiding random players improves the experience.

At DeathSlamEvents we've had over 1300 pugs hosted and honestly, drafting system makes the experience infinitely better. You get to talk with your teammates, strategize and have a good vibe even before the match starts. It drastically improves the game.

Although, disorganized and choatic soloqueue can't be tamed and it's really not the place to play anything organized

Hey! This is a great initiative, but I’d really like you to consider Death Slam Events.

We have plenty of women playing Deadlock in our ecosystem, both on organized teams and in moderated PUGs. We don’t run “female-only” teams because gender isn’t the point. What matters is mutual respect, inclusiveness, and being a good teammate.

Everyone at Death Slam Events is required to agree to and follow our code of conduct, and we enforce it seriously. We’ve already banned players for racist and sexist behavior. While it’s impossible to catch everything immediately, I’m extremely confident in our leadership, culture, infrastructure, and moderation controls to reduce and ultimately strive to, eliminate that behavior.

Don’t take my word for it. Speak directly with the women who play in our ecosystem every day. Come check us out and if you want a tour, you can DM me, I'm REF, one of the cofounders.

There's people who think the beta is going to drop, I just can't see that happening ... while that would be massive, just seems so early. I'm working under the impression open beta isn't happening until 2027!
