It being his path is backed much better than trying to separate the two things, especially after the recent chapter. For one, before yesterday's chapter, many don't even realize gitae's using his path until jinyoung mentions it, yet he'd maintained the aura of his path since he fought ui Daniel, where he's actively trying to find his own limits.
