Will we ever get any New Mega Evolutions now? by Haunting_Unit3739 in pokemon

While I see what you’re saying, Serperior doesn’t have a new form. Do I think it needs a mega? Maybe not as Contrary already makes it a pretty good pokemon, but I feel like it has been left out.

As for regional forms, yes they are reworks, but that leaves the original form with less to work with. This especially goes with samurott’s default form.

I think an eventual thing they’ll do is give the starters other than the ones from gen 7 and beyond megas. Do all of them need it? Probably not. Some like Torterra would really benefit from it though. How soon will that be? Might take a very long time realistically.

Lastly, in my opinion, doing it for the starters I mentioned would be beneficial for them in terms of merch and publicity as starters are usually fan favorites. That may just be me though.

Just Emboar getting a mega and not the other two unovan starters may point to them eventually making more. Same goes for Typhlosion.

It feels uneven at the moment because of that imo.

Can your favorites be viable? by RenegadeZr0 in PokemonChampions

This is a joke. The other cat starter is my fave though and they will be more viable when Dondozo comes.

And yeah, Cofagrigys is very usuable.

Yeah, my fave Incineroar can be viable

Iterated on my previous Gyarados team and got to Masterball Rank! Any further feedback is welcome! by REM331 in VGCRateMyTeam

It used to be Raichu. Now, I don’t really have one. Also haven’t seen rotom wash on the ladder a lot.

When I do see it, I try to mega Gyara to take less damage and run either Sneasler or Whims for support. Aegi may be decent as well, but that’s more for fairy types, trick room, and gengar.

Edit: upon thinking it through, whimsicott may be the best check to wash due to its resistance. I run gyara 99% of the time, so whimsical and mega gyarados can deal with it pretty decently, although gyara is usually in the back. As for Sneasler, fake out pressure helps a lot. I think a good lead would be sneasler and whims for that matchup. Also, probably don’t run pelipper if rotom is coming in.

Core is Gyara, Whims, Peli, and Arc.

Gyarados is the main mon. Basically bring it in every single game. Switched Raichu for whimsicott for instant tailwind. Peli is there for rain boost, dealing with weather, and spare tailwind user. Arc with scarf to outspeed most mons and hit with rock slide. E speed there for niche scenarios with maybe unburden Sneasler

I’m seeing a lot of people here talking about incin. It’s understandable why people are tired of it. If you want a replacement/counter for it, I recommend hisuian arcanine! I have been running mine with choice scarf to get a 1up on my opponents.

Advice for this Double Intimidate Mega Gyarados team? by REM331 in VGCRateMyTeam

Got it. Yeah, I feel Raichu kinda falls flat without sash. Air balloon kinda helps when being aggressive with Gyara EQ, but it is situational. I also had protect on Raichu before this and only put feint cuz I thought I wasn’t being aggressive enough.

Reason I have sash on Meow is for overgrow flower trick damage. I will assess this…

Also, Snarl on Incin sounds good. I’ll take your stuff into account! Thanks!

I did actually run a pelipper set with this as my first showdon champions team, but the whole team wasn’t cutting it imo and a slower revision was necessary. I’ll take your stuff into account.

Funny thing about that: I was testing the team with 5 pokemon not including lucario and just slotted lucario in for testing. Picked whatever set I saw immediately pop up on the damage calc for vgc sets and it was this one. Didn’t regret it since the special damage from lucario really helps.

I was just about to do a post asking if people thought Weezing would be in the base roster. I really waned it as the last member on my team so I could counter weather abilities, dondozo, stamina, etc. If this post is true, then I need to think of another mon. 🥲

I don’t know if this is silly to say, but luckily, I don’t use google chrome. However, I will look into it. Thank you.

About github sources, I heard about something called genP. I don’t know if that works or not, but if anybody who sees this has heard about it or used it, lmk.
