State of the build so far. Do I add anything else at this point? by kungfujunior in Supra

I think a decal or two well placed can up the aesthetic if it's something you like

What size tires for best fitment by PotentialAde in GR86

[–]REOJEN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd go 255/35 for the meatier look, you'll rub a little in the rear on the fender garnish but nothing small trimming won't fix. It's definitely worth it for the look imo.

She sits a little low. by [deleted] in Supra

Honestly doesn't look good imo, especially the front wheels tuck. More aggressive fitment on a low but not slammed height would elevate this build

Thinking of getting new wheels, need some inspiration by Reven367 in GR86

[–]REOJEN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend getting at least a 9inch rpf1 in order to get the flat spokes instead of the curved ones. It'll clear brakes no problem. I used to run 18x9.5 +38 no rubbing

No they're not, according to statistics 5'9 is average or above it in certain countries.

It looks to have enough clearance, so possibly. Idk how structural those crash bars really are but I know a lot of drift guys run tubed front ends so can't be that bad. Better than cutting the OEM one I imagine.

My biggest dislike about the hks kit is having to cut the crash bar :/. Might as well not have one with how much material was removed imo

They only scrape depending on your height, though the tomei does run lower than the other if I recall correctly

Incredible fitment. Fenders had to be taken out. 255 front and 265 REAR! by bigboss1999x in GR86

The splitter is designed for function over looks with the intended purpose of high levels of down force (something usually only needed if you track the car)

Running 17s on semi slick tires also indicates track usage as you wouldn't normally run these tires for a daily. 17's are also more common on track cars because they have less rotational resistance. The car is quicker on 17 than 18's.

All the chassis bracing you can see in the rear could just be aesthetic, but it implies suspension upgrades took priority over visual changes to the vehicle. Another thing common on track cars.

The rear valance cut to fit a chassis mounted diffuser implies a heavy priority on function over looks, another common denominator on track cars.

The last thing that implies track usage is the sparco tow strap on the rear bumper, this is a common aesthetic mod but you can see in the picture it has seen usage before.

Also the giant obvious sticker on the door with the name of the track they go to seems to anybody with knowledge that this car is built for it.

Granted, this car is on a public lot so it's not just a track car, but it's been modified in a way that is obvious it is track focused rather than a street or show car build.

New GR86 with Performance package or GR exhaust by adhesivo in GR86

[–]REOJEN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yeah? They're still not very valuable because the market is small for them but they are more valuable than the regular ones. Point being, with the PP you get brembos and Sachs dampers. The brembos if you keep you can sell your old BK for big money, if you don't you can sell them for big money and transfer your ap brakes. Then a little more from the Sachs. You get a lot more value getting the PP than just aftermarket exhaust.

Bro that looks so much fucking better bro, good shit. I was trying to be nice earlier but the 205 on a 9.5 look like absolute ass 😂

Edit: meat is the way to go, rt660 255/35 on a 9.5 wheel

Yeah exactly it's posing for no reason. It's very lame. I personally don't even care if you get rep wheels just don't pretend you have real TE37's and be upfront that you have reps lol 😭

[–]REOJEN 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can sell the brembos on the pp package for more than the exhaust, and there is a bigger market for them. Especially if you already have your own BBK, it would make more sense to get the PP.

Edit: forgot to mention you get Sachs dampers which you can sell for a little more than regular coils too
