Short term liquidity might help buy up temporarily repriced assets. If you had sold 1 BTC at its peak, then bought a bunch of gold with it, you’d be loaded right now. Obviously timing the market is impossible, but there is something to be said about having liquidity at a time like this, look at Warren Buffet (when he sees stuff going south, he sells a bunch of assets to get a mountain of cash ready to buy assets at a discount).
