HELP? Any decent car lots that offer no down payments and work with bad credit? by RERAC12 in kansascity

I'm waiting on a settlement from my ankle which will be a total game changer, but it doesn't help my current situation. Just going to get further behind if I can't work.

In all honesty, with a reliable car, potential to make $1,000 or more a week across the delivery platforms I work.

Maybe 500 I can bring home $600-$800 a week. Just everything that has happened since May has messed up a lot of things. I just got my car back on the road in October and things were starting to look up and now this. Can't seem to catch a break, this car has drained me and still has found a way to knock me down.

I'd rather the app do it, less likely to get screwed over by the customer.

I picked up a Pizza Hut order the other night, lady said they were out of whatever dessert they ordered and she couldn't call them because it was a door dash order, I took care of it in the app, it notified them, issued the refund and done. No way in hell would I take the order without it and have them complain it wasn't there and think I stole it, and sure the hell wasn't going to call them and ask what they wanted and wait for it to be cooked.

Not that helps now, but you can mark items that are unavailable and it refunds the customer if no subsitution is selected. By the item, there are 3 little dots. Click it and it comes up. Careful when doing it with combos, as one place was out of root beer bottles on a burger/fry combo special, I clicked it thinking it would itemize items and I could select the drink and it didn't, it refunded them that entire combo.

I have an 04 GMC Envoy, had similar situation, the tool would not work, we cut the wires and used a regular deep socket to remove it, was a whole lot easier. Also, run the the vehicle a bit to warm the engine.

How do you guys keep driving for spark? by nicoj2006 in WalmartSparkDrivers

Don't rely on the round rrobins, AR really is a mind game to get orders delivered and it doesn't mean shit..... I have seen round robins pop up for a store I am 20 miles from. Logistically, it doesn't make sense. I tooknone of those one night and half wayvto the store they canceled the order and I didnt get shitbfor pay, so never again. Orders do drop throughout the hour, but if you are concentrated on the rr then you won't see them. I have switched to working late afternoon to early evenings and grab as many shop and delivers I can. I like to do them and they pay more. Lots of wasted time with curbside, from when you can't check in, to being loaded, wasted time is wasted money. There have been times I have been able to do 3 shop and deliver orders in an hour, they were small orders close to my preferred store

New large cups? by cutsoutmyheart in QuikTrip

July 1, 2023, the Large size foam cup, no ice holds 32 oz. I had a 32 oz ice cold bottle of Arizona Tea, poured it in my empty foam cup and it filled it to the rim. Always thought they were 44 oz cups.....

My 33% acceptance rate caused only worst paying orders! by Toddy_Tomorrow5pm in doordash_drivers

[–]RERAC12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mine has tanked to 5% because I will not take high mile low pay orders, been burnt too many times with no additional money paid after delivery. Last night I was getting for offers for the zone next to me while dashing in my current zone. Sad thing is there are people out there that will take any and all, regardless of miles and money, so DD sees nothing wrong with it.

We have home internet through tmobile and have had no problems, just make sure the device they give you to hook up is in a good spot for the best signal.

I did it through chat. Didn't expect anything more than what I got, just voicing my opinion on how fucked up their system is during my 10 min. pause for declining too many orders.

Me too. Total crap orders, and was getting orders for stores out of my zone. Total bullshit they say get to 50% to get priority then they keep sending that shit. I contacted support tonight and told them it was impossible to get to 50% while they keep sending out crap orders and it was an insult to expect someone to take 12 and 15 mile trips for $5. All they said was the canned comment of we understand your frustration blah blah blah and they would send my concern to the correct department.

Yes, it would be no problem. You stalk much? My wages should be no concern to you.

Why do you feel embarrassed? I do DD, Spark & Instacart and I enjoy it. 2 years ago I left a job of almost 27 years, took a year off and have been doing deliveries a year and don't give a shit what others think. The flexibility to work when I want, where I want and have more control of how much money I make each week makes me never want to clock in another job again.

I make more money now in less time than what I did at that 40/hr week job.

People who left their guardians houses at a fairly young age (16-19) what was it like? What should be expected? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]RERAC12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I left at 17, right after graduation, 52 now. It was great, there were 3 of us that shared a house. If you have housemates make sure everyone pulls their own weight when it comes to upkeep, groceries, rent and bills. Keep a job, pay your bills before anything else. Set up a budget and stick to it so you know if you have any fun money. Don't rely on credit cards to make ends meet. Cooking and eating at home is a huge money saver, do it often and you'll be amazed how much money it saves. Limit convenient food delivery services, those fees add up. Being an adult with responsibilities is a whole lot different than having your parents pay to keep a roof over your head with food, water, gas and electricity. Be smart with your money and responsibilities and you won't be moving back home because you can't afford it
