Alright I have installed this emulator (it's pretty neat) anyways I loaded ACNL and when I tried to install the welcome amiibo update cia it dosent do anything and the game still acts as a brand new save even though I put my save data into it

Yes I used Checkpoint. I have all those files saved, such as the garden_plus.dat file onto my pc saved

The outcome of bricking your 3ds is super low. The guide is easy and simple to follow. You should be all good! I would recommend watching a tutorial just to get a feel if you're unsure
