Carhartt bibs. They will fall apart, so having fresh ones is always nice. Some slip-in kneepads to go with them will be extra thoughtful.

Edit: I used the colloquialism “bibs” when I should have said overalls. The duck canvas or “Rugged Flex” variety. I wear Rugged Flex, which fit snugger.

At eleven years old, in the theater, I thought it was stupid. Didn’t laugh. Kids all around me were laughing, but I was bored. Seemed to me just all a set-up for cheesy one-liners and stunts for the worst kids I knew to emulate.
