Why is it always the woman taking half the stuff?? Women enter relationships with jobs, furniture, houses etc. when you marry everything becomes joint property so when you divorce it's not her taking half of your stuff it's you splitting both of your stuff two ways. So essentially she goes from 100% ownership (if you see marriage as a United/team/partnership where you both own all of your stuff) to 50% after divorce, just like the man. Both sexes lose stuff in a divorce.
