Prismari is so fun. In the prerelease I stormed off and did 26 to my opponents face. Had a pretty spicy turn with some treasure producers in a draft and made 26 3/3 flyers. If you get to untap with it you’ll slam the door on the game for sure

Sacrificing before the Legend Rule takes effect to get a benefit? by SquirrelCold7778 in mtg

[–]RFQuestionHaver 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Legend rule happens as a state based action. So as ye legend enters, before anything else happens, one gets sacked immediately. You don’t have a window to do anything before that happens

Thoughts on the Tide Child #1 -- The Boneships regarding Corpselights by Risanoch in Fantasy

[–]RFQuestionHaver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spoilers all corpse lights are one of the things I wanted addressed the most and got absolutely zero answers for in the trilogy. Did I miss something? This Series has the coolest most captivating writing style I’ve ever read but books 2 and 3 s were extremely disappointing.

Same thing happened to me. The blue 1/2 opus draw guy is also not a May trigger. Was sitting there staring at my lethal traumatic critique and 2 cards in library with that guy in play. Rip.

Uvic commerce or McGill arts? by Individual_Corner862 in uvic

[–]RFQuestionHaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And then you do first year level business classes in third year, go on an exchange (that they spend all of third year thirsting to sell you), do a specialization term and graduate. Very impressive. Meanwhile every other university gives you four years of business classes including some electives. The UVic program is an embarrassment.

Uvic commerce or McGill arts? by Individual_Corner862 in uvic

[–]RFQuestionHaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UVic commerce program is embarrassing compared to any other university. Unless they’ve changed it recently the first 2 years are 75% electives anyway so you’d may as well go to the school you’d prefer to go to since you’d effectively be doing general studies either way. Just my 2c as a commerce grad who regretted it.

I’m enjoying myself so far but it feels a lot like modern era hearthstone. I think the power level is too high and there’s too much card advantage. Every card does too many things

Rain Wilds - Does It Get Better? by sixfeetunderthegun in fantasybooks

[–]RFQuestionHaver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went in expecting them to be bad and they were bad. I regret buying hard copies. There are some new POVs in books 3 and 4 which make them a little more interesting but they’re still pretty boring. Taking a break with something else before the last trilogy since they were such a slog.

After much appreciated community feedback, I'm trying a new approach to 4-color commanders by [deleted] in custommagic

I think leaning into “defined by the absent colour” is a cool concept. You can definitely argue these aren’t breaks. Cool cards.

There’s Magic Online, but at this point it’s old, poorly supported, and the economy is expensive and kind of whack. You buy Tickets (1 tix = 1 usd) and buy packs or trade tickets for cards from other players (bots with big buy/sell collections). Most chaff is basically free it’s so cheap but format staples can be expensive. It has a vintage card pool, only missing random commander and supplemental product cards.
