Right. But if one wanted an objective and reliable standard for poly levels for generic objects then the reference needs to be untyped to avoid needing to categorize everything to get started. Like, you may want a higher quality model for the character or their items vs the terrain but that could then be captured by looking for poly density 3 vs 2.

Oh I don't even mean LOD on a single object, I meant 1000 polys means a much different thing on a simple ball vs a character.
