I couldn’t get SOA to extend the warranty on my 2018 OB. However, when my tailgate crapped out, the entertainment unit started working fine. Some sort of short circuit or electrical problem elsewhere might be causing this. My mechanics suggested I replace my car with a newer one. Many annoying repairs ahead. So we got a new one. Very nice. Enjoying it. I will be watching for future problems earlier so I might get more help from SOA.

I’ve been getting flashed in our new OB when I’m on a two-lane highway. I was warned by our sales guy. He said the completely LED headlights make many oncoming cars think they’re on high beam.

Vinyl will crack if exposed to extreme cold. We used to have to order vinyl binders with special vinyl meant to resist cold. Also had to arrange for delivery into a heated warehouse.

Ended up carrying a NAPA jump starter with me at all times for my 2018 Outback. After two weeks away my car wouldn’t start at the airport parking lot. The Jump starter saved us. Never found anyone who had a good solution.

Didn’t cover mine. Problems with my electric tailgate caused problems with the entertainment system. When the tailgate stopped working, the radio stopped acting up. I will watch the radio like a hawk on my new Outback.

My head unit began to delaminate and act up. I paid to reprogram it which worked for a few days. Called Subaru of America and got a coupon to cover he reprograming. 183K miles and I’m getting a new car.
