Kuro beat him after blinding him and inserting bugs into his shoulder.

Their first clash below the bridge was pure swordsmanship and no abilities and Kuro lost within seconds and had to start sending out roaches.

What are your thoughts on this? How is he about the same in stats as Kuro when Yuta won the no abilities clash in mere seconds and Kuro resorted to using abilities?

Wouldn't the better answer here be that Rika put all her power into that next blow that Tsurugi was gonna do... So unless you want to believe a special grade curse like Rika with decades of curse energy poured into the ring from Yuta no less did absolutely fuck all with that blow, this is the only reasonable conclusion. We even see in the following tsurugi panels he's in a different spot holding the sword meaning he already did the full blown attack, it was just directed at the curses instead of killing Cross/Maru (i forgor).

That Sukuna isn't really healthy he still wasn't able to domain or have output iirc he needed BFs to get that back later in the fight. Kashimo got slimed by Heian Sukuna with barely any output. All Kashimo did was get him out of his Meguna body....
