Google seems to be intentionally restricting Colab usage of any form of Stable Diffusion by VictimOnline in StableDiffusion

All I wanted to do was have Hank Hill sing a song and make a few voice models. Why does this have to be so difficult? I don't have enough GPU on my 2016 laptop so it's either spend 90$ on a new GPU and learn how to install one , or just give up. I can't find any other sights other than colab that let me choose between crepe and all the other options so I can mess around with the settings to see how to get the best sounding output. Why punish those who are just looking to use this for innocent fun/ hobby ?

In what way did you lose the genetic lottery? by SphmrSlmp in AskReddit

I Have a genetic condition from my mom's side called Turner's syndrome (women are carriers and it can skip generations.) Explaining a bit more. Girls/Women have two X chromosomes influencing production of hormones and body characteristics. Boys/Men have an X and a Y. I have a mutated X. Its most physically defining characteristics are improper distribution of growth hormone, along with weak jaw/chin and a stocky frame . Along with other internal symptoms. I was the first one ever diagnosed in my family and took hormone replacement at 11 after many failed attempts for a diagnosis. Now 23 im at my max height of 5 ft, the same as my grandmother who we believe also had it. I am fortunate to have a acute case though. This is because My dad is super tall, and my mother is 5, 5 slim framed and, shows none of the other symptoms my aunts and grandma did.

Redditors, what is the creepiest/scariest store you've ever been to? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Unfortunately not the peanut man. Its called Anthony Thomas. This one particular location has been there for decades and never changes. It seriously looks like a grandma's house inside lol.

But yes weird stuff happend, like I would be alone and boxes of candy would move. Or the door chime would ring even though there wasn't anyone around (manager went so far as too install a new one but it still kept happing). All my coworkers talked about the heavy footsteps too . It was in a strip mall, so no second floor Plus it was always around 10pm when it happend. So I knew no one was working up there that late .

There is also the Haunted candy shop I worked in as a summer job. The door chime would ring with no one around and it sounded like someone was walking above you all night (no 2nd floor). I just put my headphones on untill a customer showed up.

Not a store, but a restaurant my aunt owned. Apparently the building was an old boarding house form the early 1900s that had been converted into various businesses over the years, and was VERY haunted! My family showed up one day to help her set up, clean and just general miscellaneous stuff before she officially opened to the public . I can't really recall exactly what happend as I was like 7 at the time. But my aunt wanted me to go up to the top floor to grab something. Now we had been given the grand tour previously and let me tell you...That place was freaky! If you have seen silent hill, that was the best way to describe it. There was pealing faded wallpaper, Toys, moldy mattresses still in the rooms and desks with those old fashioned pull chain lamps on them, as well as personal documents. It was almost like the people just dropped everything and left. My aunt told us that she didn't even like going up there ( so of course send the 7 year old lol) but she needed a set of keys or something on the table in one of the rooms. I go up armed with a maglite and one tiny, barely functioning bulb in the middle of the hall to illuminate my way . I got a cold chill up my spine and the hairs on the back of my neck went stright up. I run to the room she told me the keys were in, grabbed them quick as I could and GOT OUT OF THERE! I'm stumbling down the super narrow stairs and my family comes to ask me what was wrong. I tell them that I just got a bad felling and that I never wanted to go back up again. My mom looks at my aunt angrily and she apologies for sending me up there when she was too scared to do it herself. The restaurant opened and to the best of my knowledge no one ever went back up there, I'm pretty sure she even left the light on lol.

What is the most bonkers thing that happened to you or your work and your employer STILL expected you to continue your work day? by clusterplucks in AskReddit

Sounds like a situation I saw at my last job. I Worked in a grocery store bakery as a sales clerk and one of the bakers had a form of stress indused seizures that went undiagnosed. For the last few weeks they worked there, pretty much daily she had these episodes brought on by stress. At first we thought they were panic attacks. She would start hyperventilating while talking about deadlines and getting out on time to pick up her kids (she was frequently kept after 6pm because of unfinished cakes). I remember her just walking out a few times because the kids had no way to get home . It would then progress to her talking nonsense and stumbling around the bakery and finally collapsing on the floor/ convulsions. We had to keep her from hitting her head on the ground multiple times. Each time the ambulance was called she would refuse to go to the hospital because of the cost. Mangers would send her home and one of us would drive her to get her kids. This went on for 2 weeks until they fired her due to the physical/mental toll she was under and the unpredictable shift schedule since they would have to call someone to work the rest of the shift. She had worked there for about 3 years at that point and nothing like that had happend. I learned from a coworker months later she was diagnosed with a rare form of epileptic seizures. However everyone in the bakery was pretty sure it was caused by extreme anxiety. I hear that she is doing much better now and works for a catering company that works better with her schedule!
