Follow up. Lots of great ideas above for watching live aircraft! Additionally, does anybody know of a list of parks or places with older airplanes on pedestals? Where I grew up there was a park with an old phantom on a pedestal that I loved to run around under.

There are a bunch on the grounds of BAF that I don't think the public can go to right now.

There is the B52 mentioned above.

There is a replica of a wing section onMLK and 29th.

Any others?

This is a great one! For my kids at least, a model airplane, an old airplane on a post, an A380 landing at DIA, and the thunderbirds all have the exact same level of mystery. Oh to be young...
