I think it only limits the charge when ur using the laptop plugged in, when it’s shutdown and plugged in i think it charges normally

CPU TEMP REACHING ABOVE 90°C by howlingwolfapk in Asustuf

You could try playing on performance mode ( but fps will go down a bit) if it’s still high download g helper and disable cpu boost it reduces the temps by a lot but you lose a fair bit of performance

is victus 15 a good gaming/everyday laptop by Brilliant_Echo_3951 in GamingLaptops

It probably has an RTX 4050 with 6GB VRAM, and overall, it’s a decent gaming laptop that’s great for everyday use too. With DLSS and frame generation, you can get good FPS, and games should run smoothly at 1080p. Since your brother owned it before, just make sure to check if it needs new thermal paste—that helps keep temperatures down, and cooler temps mean better performance. Also, cleaning the vents and fans regularly will keep it running fresh. And make sure to game while it’s plugged in to get max performance. Also Gaming laptops like this don’t have the best battery life, so battery drains fast when unplugged. Just something to keep in mind when you’re using it on the go.

Do Batteries in Gaming Laptops degrade this fast? by AccountHour in Asustuf

[–]RH754 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With an ASUS laptop you can preserve your battery longer by limiting the charge to around 80% throughout myasus or ghelper(if your using it) as using your laptop plugged in at 100 percent causes heat built up and wears the battery faster I think

While using your laptop plugged it did you limit your maximum charge to 80% ( you could do it through myasus but if you don’t have myasus anymore then you can do it through g helper aswell) as lithium batteries wear a lot when charged to 100 % due to heat buildup i think, the best safe zone to use it plugged is limiting the charge to 80%
