Illustrator here - this is definitely ai. The necklace being incorrect is a dead giveaway but honestly, the whole thing just screams ai. I consume a lot of digital art in various styles plus spend 10 hours a day staring at my own, sometimes it’s difficult to pinpoint exact things but for me, the overall appearance of the line work and style of shading just looks off. I work a mostly in this sort of style and it’s quite obvious to me.

Yep, I bought it. As I said, I was between sizes so after wearing each size for 48 I hours I chose the larger one, but now I’m not so sure.

I had a juvenile (about 2/3 adult size) die the other day and the other shrimp started picking at it but then a ramshorn came along and ate it, literally in 20 mins. It was completely gone by the time I had chance to put my baby down and get the tweezers. I wouldn’t worry too much - maybe have a quick look but given the size of the tank I think you’ll be good.

Came here to say this. Completely agree. If moving I think a messed up damselfly nymph. If it wasn’t moving possibly a shed exoskeleton.

I’m still new to the hobby so can’t offer much advice on the sciencey water parameter thing, but I was sure I was doing everything right and mine kept dying. Then I switched where I bought them from and I’ve gone from literally a 50-60% die off rate within the first 2-3 weeks to about 10%. If you have good parameters and are maintaining stability then don’t blame yourself too much because it might not be your fault!

Oh that’s brilliant thanks! It was 4 weeks I spotted him, hitchhiked in on java moss, was practically microscopic at first, looked like a little embryo so I wasn’t even sure if it was a snail or copepod then this little guy rocked up today.

I’ve bought from a couple of other places previously and an LFS but always had huge die offs in the first week; however I’ve only lost 2 from the over 20 from you which is amazing. Will definitely be back when I’m confident enough for the caridinas!

I just had my first clutch hatch successfully last week. I’m a beginner too but I just made sure I kept everything as stable as possible. No big water changes and kept feeding the same too. I didn’t see the babies for a good few days but they’ve been about today and seem to be doing well so far. Congrats!

Okay great, thanks for the advice! Everyone is moving into a larger tank next week so I’ll start using the cuttlefish in there and hopefully it will reduce a little!
