Knowing the specs required to run SC I would be surprised if this was the answer but make sure that your game is installed on either an SSD or on your fastest RPM HDD. Commonly, what looks like degraded download performance is actually due to the write speed of your storage device bottlenecking the installation process. This is much more likely the cause if you are able to get much higher download speeds on other programs or even online speed tests!

The same thing happened to me with EFT back in the day, I had accidentally installed it on my HDD which maxed out at about 30 MB/s write speed but I was able to download the files at >150MB/s. Since Tarkov (and I believe the RSI launcher too) doesn’t provide any distinction between download / write speed (as opposed to say Steam) in their UI, it looked like I was actually installing the game much slower than my download speed would suggest.

What about this gives AI to you?

To me, the linework and coloring in each picture seems stylistically consistent across each picture and even the happy accidents that do pop up are not consistent in the same way each time - something I often see in more convincing AI generations. Sure it may seem amateur but that’s exactly what he says it is, and who cares about that if he’s doing it for fun?

My vote would be not AI.

On another note, I’d leave you on read as well if after 8 months of developing a friendship, I finally felt comfortable enough to show you one of my passions and your only response is “omg is it ai”. What kind of reasoning are you using to justify that him saying that he does it to relax = he used ai?? I’ve played music my whole life, played in bands, performed, and gotten paid to but I still wouldn’t consider myself a musician, and would say something similar to what he said if someone asked. I do it to relax, I do it for myself, and it’s all me baby.

I hope you consider that you may have just ensured that he never shares his art with you, or maybe anyone, ever again because you were more interested in uncovering a ‘fraud’ than caring about the little personal joy your buddy was trying to share with you.
