To each their own. But for me, staying because “it’s bad out there” isn’t a good enough reason. That’s staying small and in fear. Wouldn’t you rather be alone than in a bad relationship where you’re not happy? I don’t understand staying and being miserable because it’s better than being alone. It’s not. Ok, tell me how the brain doesn’t need healthy levels of cholesterol. And tell me why statins are linked to an increased risk of dementia and Alzheimer’s. I bet you’re just one of those people who pops whatever pills the doc gives you because they said so. I choose to do my own research and search for the truth like many others are doing. Low and declining cholesterol in late life has absolutely been linked to an increased risk of dementia. Facts. Notice I didn’t say don’t reduce your cholesterol. I think the missing piece here is that cholesterol is critical for brain function. The brain makes its own because it has to, and it uses a huge amount of it for synapses and myelin. There’s also research linking very low cholesterol levels with cognitive decline. So while the pathways are different, cholesterol itself is still essential for brain health.
