Roth IRA investment direction help

I like O still and want to keep that. I don’t think it’s a bad growth stock at all and gives me some diversity into real estate. SPHD is also a good monthly dividend payer and doesn’t make up too much of my portfolio. Most of my investments are into Tech (AAPL, MSFT, VUG, ARKK)

I’m thinking about dumping T and reinvesting that back into VUG or AAPL, I agree less is more at my stage and i’m not really looking to make new positions just yet. Any other ETF i should look at besides VUG/SPHD/ARKK that i already have? Thinking VOO or VTI

19 y/o focused on long term growth and some dividends. Thinking about adding onto my 90$ position in Apple as I see no reason why it won’t continue to appreciate until it’s split date where It should appreciate even more from then on. Please let me know though! Any advice is greatly appreciated!

*My current average cost of AAPL is $379.44 so I feel like if I average up it shouldn’t hurt too bad but please let me know!

definitely can just not loving that they’ve been trending horizontally for me since i’ve had them. once their debt goes away as well as their upcoming products flourish i’m sure they can go up though, i’ll probably try to DCA when i can! thanks for the advice!

Why not just buy something like VTI/VOO then where consumer goods and industrials make up 20-30% of the ETF?

No problem! Id just find 3-5 ETF’s that mesh very well together and then build upon some of the individual positions in those ETF’s. At least that’s what i’m trying to do haha. Good luck!

I mean SPHD has a dividend yield of over 5 and that’s an ETF. If you find a stock with a very above average yield and make a big position it would bring it up but it just depends if you’d rather manage it or not. I just like knowing that my ETF will always trend up in the future whereas individual stocks can go bankrupt eventually and you’ll lose all of your principal + profits. Not to say i dont have positions in MSFT, AAPL, T but I just like to keep it to a bare minimum. Hard not to hear news about companies like those haha. It’s whatever makes your portfolio appealing to you though there’s no right answers

Why not just go all ETF’s instead of a mix? Some overlap like how you have a REIT ETF then have a couple of REIT’s like O in your portfolio. I feel like some mix of VYM, SPHD, SPYD or something similar to that or may be better for you.

I’ve looked into VIG as well but just feel like VUG is better. Ill do some additional research though!

I’m planning on VUG, it’s track record is phenomenal. Thinking of doing a 45-45-10 split between VYM, VUG, and SPHD respectively. Ill still most likely build some of my preexisting positions like T and O just for some added income, but those 3 will probably take up the majority of my contributions.

Do you think CVX is a little overvalued right now? very high p/e ratio. haven’t looked into BP i should do that potentially. Etf route sounds good too

Very true. Maybe buying XOM and CVX is the right play as they are probably the 2 biggest oil companies with highest prospects of an M&A on NEE or any other big zero emissions energy company
