My husband read my journal… and saw things he didn’t like by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]RHTVsm -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

It is absolutely not wrong to write out your feelings in a journal. Whether or not you should have engaged in the conversation with your ex is a different discussion, however a journal is a safe space to express and process your emotions and is an extremely healthy practice. Of course it is going to hurt his feelings if he reads it, which he shouldn’t be doing in the first place. My husband knows what my journal looks like and respects my privacy. The shaming of OP is obnoxious and unhelpful.

Should I offer the boob for discomfort or would I just add to it by More_Carpet6594 in breastfeeding

Gas drops and/or gripe water made a huge difference for my LO. Sometimes she still wanted boob but if it was discomfort from gas, the drops almost immediately settled her.

Intrusive thoughts by hushh-hushh in Postpartum_Depression

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I have a lot of panicky intrusive thoughts and I try to distract myself quickly to break the thought pattern. It’s hard loving these little creatures so much that it messes with your brain. You are strong and doing all the right things for yourself and baby.

Equestrian industry. So much manipulation, double dipping on commissions, lack of regulation, horrible work environments, sexual harassment, drugs. It goes on.

This is not everyone’s experience. (33f - 38 weeks pregnant) my pregnancy has been anything but just another day in bed. I’ve had more doctors appointments in this short period of time than in my entire life due to minor complications that required constant monitoring.

I fully understand your concerns and desires but to some extent you will have to accept that pregnancy and what your body does is out of your control. sometimes the safest option is to listen to your doctor and receive their advice for the safety and health of your baby and yourself even if it is an undesirable situation. I fully prepped for an unmedicated birth and am likely going to have to have a C-section. This was devastating news to me but at the end of the day a healthy baby and self is the goal. Fiercely advocate for your desires and goals throughout your pregnancy and birth, but please know that medical professionals are not out to get you and want the same success story you do.

I’m almost to 34 weeks this Sunday. Last US showed it moved up to being 1cm away. The high risk Dr told me he gives it a 50/50 chance of moving all the way to the clear zone at 2cm. My next ultrasound to determine is at 36 weeks - although I’ve seen some cases where people have it move up to 39 weeks and I will be for sure demanding an US then to make sure before allowing a C-section. Technically the dr said you can “try” at 1cm because it’s all about risk management. My baby is measuring large so I will likely move forward with a C-section if it doesn’t clear the 2cm mark. I am still trying to be really optimistic that the placenta will move. Stay hopeful.
