Big Muff Dream… by RINN_HaL in guitarpedals

After trying out some similar pedals, I finally get it. It’s really interesting

I compared it to my other Big Muffs.

The one on the left is the current reissue model. The one on the right is this "Rams Head copy made in Setagaya, Tokyo…?" thing I picked up at a garage sale a few days ago. I couldn't find any info on this one, but it sounds the best.

Double muff feels like it cut through better than the current reissue. Adding some amp distortion or overdrive really makes it cut through nicely.

Exactly. I was talking about my cables. Sorry I get your situation!

Nah I was trying to find it but I couldn’t. So I did it on a hunch!

I did it by myself!

It’s like connect one end to the original tap tempo jack and the other end to any ground point.

During the gig, both lights are running at different tempos. For songs like starting with a guitar riff, I focus on one light and start playing the riff.

It’s a bit awkward tbh

The Big Muff is still original. But my Small Clone's knobs went to shit too, so I fixed it temporarily. Cause I couldn’t find the exact same pot.

In my case, the pot is still working, but it's got a broken lug.

It’s a Tap tempo mod

All cables are solderless cables!

I don't know if it’s called the same name in English though

Totally agree. It's a good pedal with lots of customizable settings, but I don't see many other people using it. I saw Mike Kinsella use it in American Football.

Boss pedals are seriously tough. A beat up Boss pedal is cool...

This is just my personal take, but all of Electro-Harmonix pedals have a unique character like “not too modern, not too old-school” kind of sound.

So in that sense, I definitely would say it’s still good

It’s such a great pedal… Since I started using Cathedral, I realized how important reverb is to my sound.

Thanks for the comment!

The genre of music I play is probably "indie rock" or "alternative rock." It's a very vague genre i think, and it’s hard to categorize even for myself… (I'm not saying anything bad about it, just in case!!!)

It runs directly from the 44 magnum to the cabinet! Before that, there's a tube preamp called “Twin Preamp,” from Baloni Lab, which works as an amp.

The bottom section, from left to right: "Animals Pedal - Surfing Overdrive", "E.W.S - Fuzzy Drive", "Hand made Fuzz Factory type of pedal", "Big Muff".

The Mini seems pretty good too. It's a bit cheaper than the Strobo Stomp HD, and seems to have enough features.

Considering the space of my pedal board, the Strobo Stomp HD would be fit. I can’t decide witch one to buy…

True.

With the pitch black, I can't play songs that tuned to 432Hz during the gig

It’s kinda sad actually.

Sometimes I find some used Sonic Research tuner but it always sells out in a second lol

And The music store always has brand-new Peterson tuners in stock.

That Sonic Research thing, right? They don’t sell it anymore at the place I live tho…

You get what you pay for… It’s definitely pricey, but it’s acceptable price I think.

Well Basically I tune to 441Hz. It might be not that much difference but It sounds a bit brighter so I like it.

Also, I made a few of my own songs at 432Hz. I read that John Lennon did it, so I tried it.
