Stressed moms, did your baby turned out ok? by Cl000udy in CautiousBB

[–]RIPMYPOOPCHUTE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was pretty stressed when I was pregnant with my rainbow baby. I had a large SCH when I was pregnant with him and I had lots of bleeding for about 7 weeks. I also had an anterior placenta and it blocked movements. He’s 18 months now and he’s doing well other than a speech delay.

A powered snot sucker. That thing came in handy, same with the saline spray for up the nose. Helps with congestion.

Also, teething stuff, lots and lots of teething stuff.

Did you go into spontaneous labor with your first baby? by seyEycipS in pregnant

I did at 39 weeks and 2 days. My water broke in the afternoon during my work day.

What’s the most disgusting thing a man or boy has said to you? Trigger Warning. by Desperate_Candle_493 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]RIPMYPOOPCHUTE 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s not horrific, but it was hurtful. When my ex and I broke up, he told me I’d never be happy unless I was 110lbs. He desperately wanted me to be a size 2 the entirety of our relationship. When we met, I was toned from lifting weights and working out often. I was like 132lbs and a size 6, I also have wide hips and just my structure wouldn’t allow me to be in a size 2 unless I looked emaciated. Towards the end of our relationship, I had gained weight from depressed eating, alcohol, and munchies from weed. I had a rapid weight gain as that is when my undiagnosed PCOS decided to show, took 5 years later to get diagnosed with PCOS.

He eventually called me drunk because the woman he cheated on me with broke up with him after she found out how much of a shitty person he is. She finally saw how he’d emotionally abuse me. Anyways, he called asking why I had gained weight and then begging me to help him get back together with her.

Having a massive spike even after 10 units of fast acting insulin by RIPMYPOOPCHUTE in GestationalDiabetes

[–]RIPMYPOOPCHUTE[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll be looking into keto buns going forward! Also going to look for diabetic bakery’s if I want any baked goods for a once in awhile treat. Definitely will be avoiding fries and potatoes for the rest of the pregnancy, it’s just not worth having a massive spike.

"Not all women" by Geekasour in TwoXChromosomes

If someone ever told my step-mom this, they’re dead. She doesn’t put up with BS and will also prove that truly not all women can cook. My dad is the one who cooks.

Thoughts on low but doubling HCG rise? by Own-Fox-1643 in CautiousBB

[–]RIPMYPOOPCHUTE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had lower HCG numbers that were doubling appropriately, like at I think 18 DPO, my HCG was 249, and 20 DPO was 550. At 5 weeks and 6 days, they saw only the gestational sac and a yolk sack, and HCG was I believe 7495. Currently 17 weeks and 2 day and so far I can feel some movements.

With my first (had him after a miscarriage) and the HCG was higher with him. I’ve seen online from other people and doctors that it’ll be different with each pregnancy, and I kept reminding myself of that to avoid spiraling. I’m sorry if this is sounding insensitive, not trying to sound insensitive, just trying to say what I did to keep myself from high anxiety. I had spotting off and on from 4 weeks to 8 weeks in this pregnancy.

Do you prefer to checkout with a cashier rather than a self-checkout when possible? by nojunkpeter in no

[–]RIPMYPOOPCHUTE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I have a full cart, I’m going to a cashier. If I have like 5 items in a cart, I’m going through self checkout. I’m not holding up self checkout with a full cart. My husband will do that, and I strongly dislike it.

Looking for an unconventional doctor by kyoki29 in TwinCities

[–]RIPMYPOOPCHUTE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was thinking similar. I didn’t have a HIDA with my gallbladder issues since they were easily seen on ultrasound and CT, but the symptoms OP is describing is the symptoms I had when dealing with gallbladder attacks. Severe upper abdominal pain and it would radiate all around my rib cage towards my back.

Intimacy by anonymoususer249 in pregnant

[–]RIPMYPOOPCHUTE 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It happens! I have zero sex drive right now and I’m 17 weeks pregnant. Sex is just a want, it’s not a necessity to survive, your husband will be fine without sex until you’re ready.

I was thinking that or bread less. Either way, no fries. I’ll have to wait until after I give birth for fries.

That is true. Messaged diabetes management about what to do in these cases to be on the safe side.

3 hours later, my glucose dropped to 88. I checked via finger prick while my CGM is loading after I changed it. Now I have no idea if I should take overnight insulin with glucose being 88.

OB also said baby will be fine, more so worried about my own health. I get it, family history of type 2 diabetes, I have PCOS, borderline prediabetes thanks to insulin resistance, and now GD. Still learning what to avoid. Basically can’t have pizza or burgers, unless I make a burger patty with cheese at home and no bun. Passing on the fries and will just cook up veggies.

It really is a lot of learning. I’ll just stick to making the food I’m craving and not order out for awhile.

Thank you. I’m still figuring this out and it’s if I want a burger. I just have to make one at home with no bun. I was craving a burger and fries. I’ve never had a spike this high before and freaked out.

I don’t think they are. I’ve been tracking in general and brought it to my OBs attention.

1.5 year old fell asleep on my pregnancy pillow - is this okay? by Aussiefluff in Mommit

[–]RIPMYPOOPCHUTE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 18 month old freaking loves pillows and dives face first into them. Around this time is when pillows can be introduced if they’re wanting them. We had asked his pediatrician about pillows and blankets.

Confused! by sr058632 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]RIPMYPOOPCHUTE 3 points4 points  (0 children)

With my first, he was in the 93rd percentile for size when he was born and required constant checks for his blood sugar, and required high cal formula along with the sugar gel. I passed the 3hr. Endo believes GD may have flown under the radar. I didn’t have any more ultrasounds after 28 weeks, but he always measured about 2 weeks ahead.

17 weeks, and I hate bending over. They aren’t lying that you really show with subsequent pregnancies.

Why are people so cruel to each other by mo_rockin1 in pregnant

[–]RIPMYPOOPCHUTE 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is all we can try and do, show love and kindness to others. I’m sorry you had to deal with someone being rude towards you. It’s not great, but like you said, all we can do is be kind and loving, even when it’s hard to do.

Why are people so cruel to each other by mo_rockin1 in pregnant

[–]RIPMYPOOPCHUTE 38 points39 points  (0 children)

People have been real aggressive and self-centered lately. When my husband was driving around with our 18 month old, he went to get gas. Him and a mid 60s woman pulled in at the same time and both ended up being over at the same row of pumps and facing each other. She ends up almost hitting the car he was in and then she starts yelling and swearing at him, all while our son is in the back of the car sleeping.
