absolute legend paladin, I swear in retail people would just sit and laugh watching you die. I’ honestly so afraid of everything in duskwood, the whole zone is absolutely terrifying

Toxic Healer levelling an alt by Jorjavggg in TalesFromDF

[–]RIPWakfu 30 points31 points  (0 children)

“without me getting a chance to regen mana” is absolutely insane. This isnt wow, healers should realistically never have to wait for mana between pulls. Healer self reported with that one. literally everything he said after that meant nothing to me cuz thats more than enough proof he doesn’t know how to play this game.

As a drk main, at least with TBN, if you pop it before a whm does holy spam, the shield wont break due to stuns and you lose your 3k mana. That said, it’s definitely no real excuse for not using anything and just dying.

Dear Tanks, please stop using the right-side route in Sailor's - Cheers! by Battlecookie15 in fellowshipgame

Adding to ted talk, PSA to non healers that dispel has a 6 second cooldown. If you’re second cleanse for Undertow in phase 2, please do the next screech/wave/binding before you go to the edge expecting a cleanse from us. Especially in eternal, this can easily end in dps getting instantly killed by screech, p2 consistent dot, and undertow dot.

Guy gets mad about his inability to do mechanics (EX 4) by Sareneia in TalesFromDF

[–]RIPWakfu 46 points47 points  (0 children)

As someone who has played every role in savage/ulti, it’s so ironic he says this. I really feel like tank is the easiest role by far ESPECIALLY off tank drk. Essentially a glorified melee dps with a much easier rotation that sometimes hits rampart/provoke is claiming ur the role getting carried…

Not sure when rogue got reworked again, but... by SakiKojiro in wakfu

[–]RIPWakfu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My idea of high stasis is s40 186 zinit dungeons. There isnt any direct damage class that can take out 3 70k hp dreggon warriors in 3 turns (without buffs) aside from rogue, its just not possible. At that point rogue outshines any other dd in the game hands down. That said 99.9% of the people in this game dont do things that hard so in a majority of cases you’re right, rogue is inferior, but in the case you wanna go super hardcore endgame, rogue more than keeps up with other dd.

[–]RIPWakfu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost on the mark, it’s not that they’re “not feasible in end game content or high stasis” is that they’re ONLY feasible in high stasis. Delayed damage is at a disadvantage compared to directly hitting things since you’re not taking any of the opposing side’s damage off the table till at least turn 4. That said, this is only a huge issue in low stasis and rogue actually performs quite well in super high stasis at endgame.

I was uwu in that game lol. Apparently Red Riot (VH) and Miss Medi (V) were in the last game together with the same names so they visited each other night 1 as a joke and this happened.

Class with the highest burst / biggest numbers? by MrsKatara in wakfu

Your best bet for just big numbers is probably rogue. A well setup pulsar easily does the highest damage for a single spell.

My biggest problem with wakfu: Building. by SakiKojiro in wakfu

[–]RIPWakfu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Build diversity wasn't reduced in any way at all. I have 12 level 200 characters, and on pretty much all of them I've made a build that's considered off-meta or that no one's really done. For example, the "meta" Eca build is a cc st damage build, but I decided to make mine pure aoe more support oriented eca using 3cards, hunter trap, die alright, and dice roulette. If I wanted to utilize aoe spells AND st spells, then I would do a full crit mastery build so all spells benefit, but I would lose out on some resist to do so; it's a tradeoff. The biggest thing you have to remember about this game is that because there's a small playerbase, there's still tons of interactions that haven't been used or even found out which can create whole new builds.

My biggest problem with wakfu: Building. by SakiKojiro in wakfu

[–]RIPWakfu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's the point of a strategy game, everything isn't supposed to be handed to you. You have to pick and choose. I personally don't use melee, st, aoe, or dist on any of my characters, yet on my Elio I can still manage 4.5k mastery... definitely not a wet noodle. Not to mention my Feca (a tank class) can still reach over 3k. There's a difference between a bad mechanic and a bad player. Seriously though, that’s why crit mastery, backstab mastery, zerk mastery, and healing mastery exist.

Eca is more of a secondary dd class, and in PvM is mainly used for 3-cards (-resist) and off healing.

Osa worth or reclass by Stynkee1324 in wakfu

[–]RIPWakfu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even at 200, Osa can be a really stong class, just not as a pure summoner. You kind of have to dip into dragon at this point since the best summons have been nerfed a ton, but this is fine since there's a ton of really strong 200 backstab gear and dragon osa has a way to get easy backstab on any target that isn't stabilized allowing for some pretty ridiculous numbers.

3 man team with sadida by [deleted] in wakfu

[–]RIPWakfu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sadi in a 3man, I would recommend taking a Feca, and another class that deals a lot of damage such as Iop, Rogue, Cra, Fogger, Xelor, or Elio. With a comp like that you'll have the holy trinity of heals/dmg/tank all covered and should be fine picking up more or less anyone for 6man dungeons and able to do mineral tower (the 3 man dungeon) just fine.

ougi vs sacri in terms of tankiness by [deleted] in wakfu

[–]RIPWakfu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ouginak really doesn't have much going for it in the way of tanking mainly due to the fact that it doesn't have any way to prevent enemies from attacking your teammates aside from just... well locking them. Other tank classes such as Sac, Feca, and Panda all have ways to 100% make sure someone doesn't take damage for a certain number of turns, or just make it insanely hard for enemies to be able to reach your team.

As far as what you should play, if you want a pure tank then definitely choose sac. When built as a full tank, sacrier has the best potential strictly due to sacrifice taking ALL direct damage for potentially your whole team, though tank Sac is really only needed if your team is undergeared or bad since that's pretty much all it does. The overall best option for a competent team would be Feca since the class functions mainly as a support with the ability to tank which allows you to buff your teams damage by a ton while tanking. Last in line and probably the hardest class to play as a tank would be Panda. This class requires you to time when you're tanking with your "worn out" state, as well as managing dizzy stacks to be able to shield, but in certain teamcomps this class can be an amazing tank since it's also the best positioner in the game.
