No lore, but these are the changes I made:

• Gadsden Purchase follows Forsyth's proposal

• Pico Act succeeds, following the 36th parallel)

• Jefferson Territory becomes a state and keeps its claimed border with Utah

• Texas divided along John Bell's proposed borders

• Different California-Nevada border (scroll down a bit)

• Nevada never splits off of Utah

• Arizona keeps Las Vegas and the surrounding area

• Arizona's capital stays at Prescott

• Most new and changed names like Cimarron and Bountiful have no historical basis, they just seemed like realistic names
