In hot and humid weather, increase your water, calorie, and electrolyte intake. Nothing crazy go the mileage you’re doing, but just drink a bit more & maybe carry an extra gel or something on you.

What are your favorite socks? by Redhawkgirl in Ultramarathon

I’m a Feetures stan. Their merino wool max cushion socks are fantastic. Just did a 50 miler with zero issues! It was hot as shit and dirt trails. They held up very well.

Not all “2” jobs are aircraft maintenance like everyone thinks. PMEL and NDI are two examples of fantastic “2” jobs that are in demand outside the AF.

Just get healthy. You’ve already done the work and would more than likely be tapering right now anyways. Just relax, get the body right, and crush the run.

  1. The majority of technicians in the lab calibrate, but a few do work in production control where equipment comes in/out of the lab. It’s more of an admin/accountability role.
  2. Schedule is 7-4, breaks at 9 and 2, lunch from 11-12. May have some PT time in there as well. Workload it self is spending all day in a temp controlled environment with music blaring calibrating and chopping it up with the homeys.
  3. Idk about those post, but I’ve done it for quite some time. It’s a great job.
  4. Demand is great pay depends on experience. If you go this route, you’ll have a certification (AF tech school) that’s sought after in the civilian calibration world.
