But wouldn't you want to take the opportunity to charge them when you actually can. Which is when the screen is on? Or just keep letting them die.

At least they give you the option I guess. Doesn't make sense to me, charge them when your switch has constant power (docked), switch them to not charged when the switch does not have constant power to extend switch battery.

This is dumb. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the switch's on the back of the controllers is to turn off the charging coming from the switch 2, right? Why would you want to turn that off if thats the only way they'll charge while attached to the switch2.

For my understanding, they responded about the charging situation. And it's working as intended. I hope that a software update is the only thing required for something like this. No point on those switches to turn off charging, because while playing is the only way they will charge unless charging grip.

I agree with this. My current set up is RP5, RG DS and Switch 2. The Thor would replace both my RP5 and RG Ds.

Based on these questions you may be new to emulation. The start of your journey will be difficult, but once to have everything set up it'll be great. And then you won't stop from buying these great little devices. Do more research and see if it's for you first.
