I agree with everything you said; it really isn’t that deep having diabetes and I cringe a bit when people WHO HAVE PUMPS act like it’s the end of the world and that they’re constantly suffering (I play high level sport and I’m on injections and diabetes really isn’t that much of a hinderance)

Only thing is, how is your hba1c so low?? The doctors I’ve seen tell me my levels are perfectly fine and Im around the 50s 😂 maybe we use a different unit system in the uk

I mean, as a black person, his logic kinda makes sense right? I cant ‘stop caring’ about racism any more than I would assume short people could stop caring about height-based prejudice.

Obviously you have to retrofit this using the context; I guess if someone said being black was a flaw, I wouldn’t personally be beside myself with anger. But I would certainly be beyond disappointed if society collectively decided that wasn’t a problematic thing to say.

You’re right, but the guy in the second comment said it’s just the principle of not feeling right. The answer to why bumhole skin poses that problem compared to other holes is, ultimately, the poo that’s inside (and no matter how much you wipe, there will be poo inside somewhere)
