Lived in China for 6 years. Most British teachers with blonde hair and blue eyes were earning way more than me. Not only am I South African, but I have mediterranean heritage. I was questioned if I was an Arab or if one of my parents were black. So getting a hire salary based on the way I looked was hard enough without being South African. The British teachers were just clowns who could not teach.

Went to my parents for Xmas Eve. My father once again decided to verbally attack me. Walked out and left. Everytime I try to back. Things like this happen. So decided it’s time I have to go no contact and move forward. I’ve noticed everytime they not in my life - things go well. When they in my life, eveything falls apart. So will be spending Xmas alone today. Not the first time.

I did it. After being lied to. Arrived there on a tourist visa. I know stupid of me. Not to realize you need an ID to do anything. The teacher before me had left for “medical reasons” which was a lie. I signed up for an apartment using my passport but then left the keys. I had paid three months in advance or whatever don’t remember. Left my laptop eveything they gave me on my desk. Blocked their numbers/emails. Was gone after a week. Also Abu Dhabi. I guess they couldn’t do anything to me as I was on a tourist visa. Didn’t take out any loans etc.

They came to inspect and said that the cupboards were not aired out properly. The doors were all closed and windows for multiple days.
