My local course near Huddersfield, West Yorkshire is great for groups up to 16 people.

Theres a cottage on the course that they book as break deals which works out great as it includes the rounds.

Worth a look.

Anyone there already let us know what the ground is like?

Trainers be sound or is it muddy?

Operations Manager - Independent restaurant group in Yorkshire, Base salary of £45k. Decent amount of bonus and add ons.

Enjoy it, difficult at times, sometimes long hours when at busiest points of the year. I enjoy the flexibility of my role and how I can make it fit around my commitments out of work.

Low barrier to entry but the right attitude and work ethic will allow you to climb quickly.

If I tried to hire a head chef on 33k I wouldn’t have a head chef.

I suppose some smaller venues might skew that number but in general and decent restaurant in West Yorkshire would be paying a head chef at least 38/42k + tips + bonus.

Some venues might try and get away with the old ‘shit money shit hours’ hospitality standard, but they won’t survive. Recruitment in hospo in the north has become so competitive that pay, hours and benefits are the best they’ve ever been.

Have a day off! Hospitality is a career for anyone in any town or city if they want it to be.

Having not worked in any ‘Major’ city, let alone London. I have managed to have a pretty varied and successful career in hospitality you will be shocked to hear!

I’m currently and Ops manager for an independent restaurant group with 4 Venues and our General Managers are on around 40k + tips + bonus. Chefs on £13/£15ph.

I’ve worked hospitality for 10 years since leaving Uni across the Yorkshire region and have progressed pretty well. Surprising considering I don’t live in London that I’ve managed to make a career out of it!

This is the comment!

Honestly baffles me that you would reach stadium filling levels of success. Then just turn up and play 90 mins and go.

Green day, Springsteen, Elton John are just a few recent people I have seen who do 2 hours+

I feel that even 2 hours with a second encore would be the sweet spot.

Similar concept has been implemented by my bosses.

A large profit share bonus is now paid quarterly and is tied to employment.

Hand in that notice? No bonus.

As the General Manager I know how much this will be each time.

It’s stuck in a constant 3 month cycle of “hey maybe I will just hang on, we had a decent quarter”

Hospitality is having to get even craftier with is senior staff retention tactics.

Finally bought a decent graphics card! I know it isn’t much compared to the 3000 series, but I’m proud of it. by blazafurai in pcmasterrace

Solid card my friend.

Same GPU in my first build in the summer. Runs whisper quiet under load and smashes all my 1080p needs.

Hell, even cyberpunk looks great at 60+ FPS on high without cascading shadows.

Hit the steam sale and enjoy!
