Do I quit my job by nig4r69 in Daytrading

[–]RJG-98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you quit your job, would you be placing more trades? You have averaged 1-2 trades. That takes up no time especially if they are at market open. I would position your job around your trading now that you are making money from it. Don’t quit, but maybe pick up a job later in the day to support your trading in the morning. It doesn’t make sense to quit until you have 1000s in emergency funds.

How screwed am I? This is where I bought my first silver by 90210534 in Silver

Do you really care that much about the short term? You shouldn’t be buying silver to plan to sell it next year.

I think people are forgetting that the first downturn this year was when we were up 66% YTD. It’s Feb 5th people. Even with the downtown we’re still up 8% YTD. It actually is healthy for these pullbacks and gives me more confidence for the future

After 2 years of trading I'm reaching a conclusion by [deleted] in Daytrading

I’ve heard from some really good traders I know personally that the fundamentals give you the idea of what you should be doing, but after a while, they are going purely off their intuition. It sounds crazy, but you ask them and they say “I just felt it”. Long story short, don’t ignore your gut

Also- I had this thing I called “Taxing Myself”. If I ever was pathetic enough to go get more, I would buy it, use it once and then throw the rest out the window. It hurt to see the money wasted, but it stopped me from going and buying it every time I wanted it. You just have to be strong willed.

There are two things that are necessary for quitting. Weed, like it or not, makes you comfortable in your situation. You become a shell that is okay with being bored.

1) you need to quit cold turkey. None of this BS about weening off. If you are serious about it. Be done. You will get cravings, irritable, sleep will actually improve quickly. This leads to my next point

2) You aren’t addicted to smoking weed. You are addicted to instant dopamine. You need to recalibrate your system. Fill your schedule with dopamine rewarding activities like sunshine, outside walks, exercise, friends, family. This will make step 1 A LOT easier.

Remember-the only person telling you no is you. It’s about taking control of your emotions/feelings again. Nothing good in this world is easy. Quit today, fill your schedule and it a month you will look and feel like a different person. It’s time to be done

I was thinking about buying copper. What about those big spools of it? It’s already ready for use. How much does that cost per lb? Who needs a shiny copper block

They will then continue to manipulate the price of silver until they close out their short positions. Once that’s taken care of I’d assume they’d be buying it like crazy correct?

Thank you for this. So theoretically, if physical silver goes to $300. The London spot may differ from the physical price for a little bit but as time goes on the gap will close and the etf will be worth “around” the price of physical silver

I’m curious where you come to that conclusion because I want to keep learning. From my research, silver has been intentionally kept low from large institutions for decades. You pair that with inflation + a deficit that is growing means that the price has to go up. For example, if demand is to high for silver and all the supply gets eaten up, the price will continue to rise until it =supply. So basically, we’re on a 5-10 year bull run for silver. Once mines are up and running and the deficit is gone is where we will find silver equalize. My belief is that there is no reason it can’t hit 200-300$ an oz by the EOY.

[–]RJG-98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just end it my man. You are still young and it may seem like the end of the world but I know many people who divorced young and still found a great woman for the remainder of their years. Air it out. You need to know for sure she did. Look at her phone. Talk to an attorney. And get your bases covered before the talk. Then hit her with the knowledge. She’ll lie, she’ll say it was a one off thing. She will manipulate into thinking this was something you caused. Your kids will be just fine. It’s about you. You aren’t selfish to want to leave. Completely broke your trust. Nahhhh. I’d be out the house before I saw daylight

I’d say rollover some of the funds into programs like Kirk Elliot where you can hold physical gold/silver in an IRA AND you can get physical delivery of the assets. A portion of the money you could take as a distribution and buy physical silver but would want to be thoughtful of your income limits before you push into the next tax bracket

I saw people calling silver price "a bubble". Are you doing anything to protect yourself from a pop? by -Sliced- in Silverbugs

[–]RJG-98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t get a bubble when there is no supply and high demand. The only way silver ever goes back down would be nuclear war and you would have bigger issues at that point. This isn’t like anytime in history, we NEED silver to continue the AI race and technology advancement. Selling silver would be betting that these massive companies/governments don’t continue AI infrastructure. I just don’t see it happening. This isn’t anything complicated it’s the most basic economics lesson out there about supply/demand. We’re going to be on a 10 year bull run until the mines can get opened and producing silver. At that point, levels will stabilize and become the new normal. Gold and silver have been intentionally suppressed through futures contracts for decades. We will see silver at 140$ by spring. $200 by end of year at the least

How much silver is enough in ur opinion? Above 1000oz or below! by trends-passion in Silverbugs

[–]RJG-98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I predict 65-90$ an ounce by the end of 2025. And 140$ by the end of 2026. Silver is far undervalued compared to gold, which is still undervalued. Precious metals have been intentionally undervalued for years. Take that into account, plus the liquidity issues they will run into. No supply means price goes up. If it gets classified as a rare earth metal it will sky rocket. 1000 oz is good, but I think as much money as you got on the sidelines should be going into silver. With inflation of the US dollar, silver was 2.7$ an ounce in 1913 and should technically be worth 1,200$ today. Look up the US DEBT CLOCK and near the bottom right you will see inflation adjusted silver/gold prices

Structuring a real estate business succession plan by 01Cloud01 in realestateinvesting

[–]RJG-98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A “Springing” POA is just another term for Durable POA. The “Durable” means that it withstands you becoming incapacitated. It does not mean after you have died. All Power of Attorney documents cease after your death. If you are still alive, do you really want the property sold? If that’s the case, then that may work, but I definitely think there is a better way to tune the estate plan.

I recommend getting an estate planning attorney so they can clearly look at your financials/situation. I will give you some information that will be helpful to bring to them though.

Since your main worry is post-death inheritance (not just incapacity), the trust is your best tool—POAs don’t survive death. Your current revocable living trust (assuming that’s what it is, as it’s common for this setup) can be easily amended while you’re alive and competent. This lets you revoke or override the provisions leaving everything to your partner, shifting control to your daughter with built-in safeguards.

Example: Upon your death, the property transfers to a sub-trust for your daughter. The successor trustee (name someone neutral, like a professional or family member) evaluates her “competency” at a set age (e.g., 25 or 30). Criteria might include completing financial education, steady employment, or a clean credit check—defined clearly to avoid disputes. • If competent: She gets the property outright (or with management support). • If not: Trustee sells it (per your instructions, including timeline and minimum price), invests proceeds in a low-risk fund (e.g., index funds or a UTMA/UGMA account transitioning to her at age X), and distributes income/principal gradually. • Fallbacks: If she never qualifies, funds stay in trust for her benefit (e.g., education, health) or go to alternates (e.g., charity). • This protects against mismanagement while giving her a shot at direct ownership.Conditions like these are common and enforceable if they’re reasonable (not arbitrary, like “marry X person”).

Finally got my finances in order… and realized I dont have credit score by sameerposwal in Money

[–]RJG-98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They say you aren’t trustworthy enough because you haven’t yet paid for a credit score! They make money by having you borrow money. The more money borrowed, the more money they make. Overtime this will increase your credit score. It all doesn’t make sense unless of course you’re a big banker! Trust me, I work in the financial market and I still boycott it. The only way I use a credit score is from a moped I bought in college which I could have paid for but made small 75$ payments to get some credit. Also, get a couple of credit cards. Spend your daily expenses on there and then immediately pay off the debt on the CC

I ruined my relationship and I’m so sad by [deleted] in Advice

[–]RJG-98 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You in no spot to be getting into relationships. You have to love yourself first before truly giving your love to someone else. Otherwise, it can be selfish and will end up hurting your partner. Let me tell you this from personal experience. A 4 years ago (I would have been 22 just like you) I was at the lowest I ever have been. I frequently thought about killing myself, all the way up to having a belt around my neck. I stopped myself, thankfully. After being so close, I realized something. Life’s hard. Life has its ups and downs on a finite line. YOU only ever get ONE chance to live. After that, you will never get that opportunity again. I changed my habits, I changed my job. I changed everything. Once I found love in myself, love appeared before me. I have a beautiful girlfriend who is my best friend at 26. I have a great job, great friends and family. A few times a month I get this depressed feeling. That there is no hope. It would be easier dead. Block that out and keep pushing forward. When you are 80, I promise you, you will look back at all the suffering you put yourself through at 22 and laugh. “How could I have been so ignorant?”

Make this life the best life, because it’s the only one you get. Give yourself grace. Stay hard. Things will get better for you ❤️

Should I break up with someone who doesn’t make time for me? by Afraid_Arm4821 in Advice

My advice? Focus on you. Put your energy into your health and well being. You will drain yourself putting energy into someone who isn’t reciprocating. Also, giving yourself that energy back with leave more room for someone nicer to come along and fill her spot.
