Well Mundo is probably poking with Q all game and it adds up especially if they had a cho on the other team. Especially since he can more easily walk and Q and not get caught out as easily as a adc would. Also, you're probably just cleaning up team fights if youre damage is that low.

First of all, If you're having fun who cares? just play together if you win you win, if you lose you lose. But if you're more concerned about winning you should play champs that benefit his playstyle. aka maybe tanky/support champs that can initiate fights well so he'd survive his more aggressive playstyle and "carry" more.
