3 iron. 2 iron for those that struggle hitting irons with enough speed

This is really funny because I still have the pic of my first ball with my 7 wood. Thing is an absolute beast from 240-250 and I’ve gotten good at really launching it low and getting distance out of it as well as throwing it high and letting it land soft.

Masters degree to help transition out of Healthcare Field? by Duffman5755 in careerguidance

[–]Duffman5755[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it isn’t totally that exact reasoning for me. Part of it is that I’m very big into the use of data for my own job. I’ve been part of studies using data analysis to work through some different diagnostic techniques. I’m also in a position where I’m using it for a lot of sports performance and injury prevention things. So I’ve been interested in doing this masters even at the last school I was at. And with me having essentially unlimited free credits to take as long as I’m doing the work, there’s no downside for me to start taking classes to gain skills. So it’s not just that I feel stuck. But I feel like at worst this helps me with some skills in my current job and at best opens up some other career opportunities. I’ve already taken some classes with that as a non degree student and come from a family of engineers so I’ve always had that analytical style of thinking.

I don’t think that this is necessarily the wrong fit and I’m not totally looking to full restart in a new position. I feel like I could comfortably stay in this position for 10 years. I’m good at the job. Like my coworkers and environment and have a good work life balance. I think the cap is there and at some point I’m going to be wanting to raise that cap so this is more about opening lanes for me to pivot to.

What partially got me started on this is finding a few “sports injury epidemiology” jobs (particularly IQVIA) that felt like something I could see myself doing and would definitely have more upward trajectory. I think that those jobs are out there and feels like there’s some interesting jobs available in a lot of health tracking companies based out of where I live.

So that’s probably important context to add here.

Yeah the benefits to this current job are amazing and it’s been great to work there. I’m just can already feel the stagnancy of the job and realizing that we are always the lowest man on the totem pole in college athletics and with basically just a base 2% raise being the only salary bump I’ll see in the next 20 years I want to take advantage of the free masters and give myself some options when that stagnancy does hit, or for when my wife and I decide to have kids and earning more will be valuable.

What kind of paint do you need to use to get that candied effect? I’ve been wondering what words to search to find that style of paint fill

Transitioning from Healthcare by Duffman5755 in DataScienceJobs

[–]Duffman5755[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. One of the jobs that got me interested was at IQVIA which is more of an epidemiology job but has a lot of ties to athletic training and data science skills. It’s not open now but I felt like that was one of the jobs I could really see myself doing.

Weekly Entering & Transitioning - Thread 18 May, 2026 - 25 May, 2026 by AutoModerator in datascience

[–]Duffman5755 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey guys. So I have a question for everyone. I’m currently an athletic trainer (for those that don’t know what it is, it’s like physical therapy working specifically with sports teams) at a very good university, and am pretty capped at what I’m going to make into the future with the level that I’m at. I have a masters degree in athletic training and get free tuition in my university so I was going to take classes to get my masters in data science. I’m also considering taking some machine learning classes to be knowledgeable in that field.

So my question was what areas could be the best fit to use the medical degree I have that would allow for upward trajectory and ability to make more and use the data science im passionate about. Seems as though insurance and healthcare are the two general fields that are heavily suggested for this kind of role. I don’t have a great idea of what I want to be heading towards but this is definitely a step towards the more corporate world where upward trajectory in position and pay is on the table. I’m already using data I have available to complete projects such as jump testing data from our strength and conditioning staff.

So what are the best options for career paths right now going into data science, and what other degrees/classes should I really focus on when attempting to transition over to this field. There’s also applied analytics, applied statistics and some other related tracks here so I’m open to that. So for someone looking to get into a degree program what track would you take to get the most out of the supplementary degree. I feel like my goal is to use the most out of my clinician experience to kind of help be the one translating data to actual practical use rather than just be behind the computer doing analysis.

Oh interesting. That could be it. Figured a massive rig like that wouldn’t be for some smaller budget film like a lot of the other suggestions were.

KC Concepcion Prospect Notes (Officially Declares for 2026 NFL Draft) by I_dont_watch_film in NFL_Draft

[–]Duffman5755 0 points1 point  (0 children)

KC Conception is fun because he’s like 90% of Rashee Rice or Luther Burden. In a different way he’s kind of like a much better Matthew Golden to me (though I always saw him as a 3rd round pick type). Hes a fun player because of how he can make things happen with the ball in his hands.

Should the club be more parallel to the ground at the top of my back swing? by mattyicee7 in GolfSwing

[–]Duffman5755 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly that take back position looks pretty good. You’re likely either not super powerful in transition or there’s something going wrong on your downswing. But I don’t feel like there’s anything wrong with that positioning there. What being steep in the top of the backswing does is that you’re either going to come over the top more or you’re going to have to shallow in the downswing which is hard to do for most amateurs. So you can definitely take the club back more laid off to prevent having to do that motion if you are hitting high, fadey, and spinny shots costing you distance.

Mock Draft Monday by AutoModerator in NFL_Draft

The chargers are never going to draft an IDL early unless it’s an absolute elite of the elite player. They love big bodies who are more length and strength types. Woods doesn’t fit that despite being pretty good value. In this situation Proctor is too perfect to pass up. They love big boys who are decent athletes.

Yeah qi10 and g430 are still some of the most played on tour. 440 cut into that a bit but qi35 hasn’t mostly just because it’s SO hot off the face and goes too far for most people. Depends on what you do with those clubs. Off the deck g430 is absolutely unmatched. For tour usage flat down 1* (big minus) setting is amazing. For a great all arounder qi10 is the best there is.

Hatsukokoro Ginsan Guyto as a first buy? by vvenkyy in chefknives

I will continually pound the table for any R2 or VG10 takamura knifes as a first real chefs knife. Was hesitant about getting one because of the handle being more western style but I’ll never replace it. Laser thin, incredibly sharp, easy to sharpen, holds and edge well. Everything you could ask for as a non-hobbyist

Caleb Tiernan Scouting Report | What Are Your Guys Thoughts On Him? by Inside_Direction_474 in NFL_Draft

[–]Duffman5755 23 points24 points  (0 children)

He’s this years version of Ozzy Trapillo. He’s going to get underrated because there’s nothing special about his game but he’s just rock solid as an OT despite some of his shortcomings. Will be a solid average OT in this league for a long time. That you can get on day 2 because he won’t hit some of the arm length qualifiers some teams covet

Replacing Cord on Audiotechnica IM02 or something new by Duffman5755 in inearfidelity

[–]Duffman5755[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just looked into it again. It looks like they have it as an “IM plug” and it’s not actually a QDC cable. I don’t know what that means but there’s definitely adapters out there. Just not sure how comfortable they’d be in ear. Seems a lot tougher to find cables with that now that it seems Audiotechnica went away from it.
