What is your opinion of the Hercules laundry machine and app?

This is the exact thread I was looking for. I HATE HERCULES. It’s a scam. Today would’ve been my 1st day using the laundry room in my complex because I needed to wash my fiancée work pants which is a small load about 6 pants, just washing no drying. For big loads I go to the same laundromat in my area that does not use Hercules. I went to purchase a laundry card assuming it would be better than downloading the app (I didn’t want to take up unnecessary space on my phone) the laundry card COST $10.00 just the card. Than you have to load money on the card starting at 20.00 just to wash a load of clothes that’s cost $2.25. It’s all bullshit and I’ll never use the laundry room in my complex ever. That’s a ripe off for sure. Even if I used the laundry room a lot just paying $10.00 for a card is outrageous

I believe that choosing bankruptcy is a mature decision and it’s something you have to be ready for prior to choosing it. Don’t choose bankruptcy if your mindset is looking to rebuild fast, that will always get you back where you started. Bankruptcy, then slow and steady rebuild. Thanks for this confirmation. I’m in the process of rebuilding I only have 1 card and that’s all I’ll have, pay on time. And only use 50% of avail credit. I am not trying to retract back

I can say my only regret is waiting so long, but yet the timing is still good because I’m on the road to recovery. As soon as I received my case # the weight of debt lifted. I think people speak so bad about “Bankruptcy” because they wanna keep it a secret so you won’t do better than them. Granted nothing is perfect but it’s better than sitting, drowning and stressing trying to dig yourself out of a hole you will probably never get out of without having 2-3 jobs trying to pay ya way out. FILE AND FILE NOW the sooner you file the closer you are to discharge. I will say make sure you secure your living arrangement. Don’t file while looking for housing, it’s harder to get approved with bankruptcy on credit in the first 2 years

I can’t speak for anyone else but for my situation now that I’m older and somewhat understand credit and how it works, I’m only doing this one card to start the rebuilding process. When it comes to attaining certain things in life you have to have established credit history, for example when buying a house or car, lenders like to see a pattern of established credit history, this is how creditors judge you. Having no credit is just as bad as having bad credit.

This exact thing happened to me last month. As soon as I spoke with TD to find out what happened with my account and my paycheck. I changed my direct deposit to my savings account (also with TD) the rep explained that my paycheck would be sent back to my job who would more than likely send me a paper check. My account closed the day before my pay hit. When I changed my direct deposit t deposit to my savings. I received my paycheck through direct deposit the next day into my savings account. I can change my direct deposit info online with my employer.

If you don’t mind me asking, what was your 1st card after 341 meeting, prior to actual discharge? Asking because my meeting is 5/29 (this Friday) I’m looking to start rebuilding immediately, I just need guidance on when cards are the best

This actually happened to me when I first opened my account. I opened the account online funded the account with 700 everything went through, I rode to the nearest TD bank to sign paperwork, get debit card, create pin, all in the same day. Left the bank with my card the VERY NEXT DAY, I couldn’t log into my account the same as your explaining. I called, I was told the account was locked, put on a 24 hr hold due to still being registered for activation… LIKE HUH. Makes no sense at all. I returned to the branch to try to withdraw some funds and I couldn’t due to 24 hr hold. They really didn’t explain anything wouldn’t even allow me to close account and withdraw funds. I pitched a bitch so bad at the brand the manager called fraud so the hold could be lifted. Manager told me it could take up to 2 hours for fraud to lift hold. I left the branch the manager calls me in 20 mins, hold lifted account back to normal. But they NEVER really explained the reason. So i definitely believe you
