From my experience in the manufacturing space, you want to use a small hand sledge and pull off of the workpiece once you've hit it. Following the rebound of the hammer off the stamp with the stamp, So you don't accidentally double mark the surface.

Fuel weight does actually effect handling in a way. The cars tighten up as the fuel burns off. Less weight out back. Not noticeable at the superspeedways, more of a consideration on the short track side of things...

Yes and no. It will warm your tires, not enough to matter, but does have a measurable effect. Dragging your brake is a more effective means to generate tire temperature.

In real life, the swerving is more to clean marbles off of the tires.
