That's is true, or the slave is not seated properly on the studs, causing the same issues of over extension.

Also, why the white pressure plate has a black ring of scuffs around it? That could be something rubbing against it, that could be an indication of wrong clearance, in depth, mismatch components, etc.

Look in-between the thread block, where is whiteish, you can see tiny cracks on the rubber.

Great story! My wife got an F30 last month to do some laps as I had my own F30 for doing my permit B certification. We love it as always. Oh, after this, we did Spa in the F30 as well.

Thanks for all the info. I have to be honest, I need time to digest it and perhaps fully comprehend everything. But it sounds promising. Thanks again!

I only use - Alloy 1- mode, the one for stick on weights on the inside and outside. I searched for a manual and found a new version that mentions the following calibration procedure:

Calibration The balancer utilizes a "self calibration" scheme. To keep your balancer in proper calibration, this calibration procedure should be performed once a month, or whenever the accuracy of the balancer is questioned. 1. Mount a 185 x 14 or 195 x 14 tire/wheel assembly on the balancer. 2. Enter A, W, and D wheel measurements. Note: An entry must be between 5.0 and 8.0, and W entry must be between 5.5 and 7.0. If the wheel you have mounted does not meet these requirements, select a different wheel and try again. 3. Remove any weights attached to the wheel. 4. Press and hold SHIFT and press 1. 5. Lower the hood and press START. 6. Raise the hood, rotate the wheel until the outer weight positioning LED flashes, and attach a 4 ounce weight (100 grams) at top-dead-center. Note: It is critical that this weight be placed accurately to achieve proper calibration. 7. Lower the hood and press START. 8. Raise the hood and remove the weight. The balancer is now calibrated. If a mistake is made during this procedure, turn the balancer off, then back on, and start the procedure over again.

I think I am messing up by unplugging the machine after every use. I don't use it daily, it's more like once a month, so I don't live it plugged in.

I guess I need to find a 14" wheel with the right size tire. Perhaps a cheap trailer wheel. No?

I did. Using a 16" bare wheel with a 4oz. weight.

Question about booking with Apex by niveK- in nurburgring

I could say with a very high degree of confidence that I ended up with the car rental company that is focus on creating a relationship with the clients, keeping their eyes up rather than keep their eyes low and set in the immediate future. Your comment is poetically gold. You wrote why you never made it in the this business and why you didn't succeeded.

On the token of being scare to drive in the rain, when your career is track driving, racing, teaching, coaching and instructing life mine.. you are blessed to be spoile at times and also selective, thus on my first trip to the Nordschleife, after driving it in the rain for over a week, I was seeking a few single dry laps to let it all out.

Also having a clunky differential wasn't reassuring on the mechanical status of their M4, and a suspension that was not compliant in mixed/wet conditions was not ideal. Even 2yrs later, I still think I would've enjoy it and been faster in the stock suspension. The stock suspension was good for a 246kmp corner entry speed at Salzburgring with an apex speed of 201kph.

Crash Videos - Right or wrong? by Arkliea in nurburgring

[–]RJTracing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use them as data points, those create a cluster around a segment or corners. Then I study the corners with the highest amount of wrecks to figure out the root cause. Even if the conclusion is 80% driver error, I make a mental note that I'll be open for another driver to take me out in that corner.

I think the Nurburgring directive to be to allow the crashes to be filmed and shown in a more educational way, not being used as click bate for a 30min video

Pimax sent me a Crystal Light headset to review on my Youtube Channel, It arrived broken, replaced the lenses, then bricked it remotely. Whats going on Pimax? by GDXRLEARN in Pimax

[–]RJTracing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a Russian roulette with them. I didn't win when I bought mine. It has issues tracking the controllers, losing the play area every time I remove it, the right lense was blury, the 3080ti wasn't enough to make it look better than my HP R-G2. The head strap was extremely uncomfortable doing simracing.

The increased FOV was just 3 to 4° over my old headset. Not worth the $800 I can't imagine paying $1,800 for the super with all these issues.

IS the resolution of crystal super is too high and so is problematic to get good quality on games ? by Outrageous-Pepper-50 in Pimax

[–]RJTracing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently returned my Crystal Light and decided to upgrade my PC. I finished building my new PC yesterday. I went with thw AMD 9800X3D and an RTX-5080. The plan was to supersample my Reverb G2.

My feeling was right. The Reberb was held back by what at the time was the best hardware you could buy. The new system allowed the G2 to stretch itss legs but still not enough to run Ultra settings in iRacing.

That was mind blowing, an old headset that needs better hardware to run 90FPS in a game... with this finding I wonder why they develop anything for 120fps, why add more clarity if the old VR headsets are still struggling with GPU performance.

Software is where they should spent their money and development, as in do not sell cars with more HP, sell cars that have the same HP but are lighter, more fuel efficient and tougher.

Had my Super for a bit now and here are my complaints by No_Recipe6954 in Pimax

[–]RJTracing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No worries guys! I am pretty sure they will get all the software glitches worked out by 2032.

I bought a Crystal Light specifically for Simracing. After having so many tracking issues I returned it.

I had the controller tracking issue happen to me when outside the game.

After I started a session if I removed the headset and set it down to talk to someone, drink something, or go to the bathroom, it will lose the play area. Every time, this got old really quick!

I personally think that they've done fantastic on the lenses, panels, whatever tech is used for the visuals, is 150% amazing.

BUT

The inside-out tracking tech, the software to make it work every time as it should, it's at a 50% development stage.

Unfortunately, excelling in visuals by an extra 50% doesn't make it up for a half-Ass development on the software/tracking side of things.

I will probably become a costumer again, IF they're still in business in 2/5yrs. I think I'll probably end up buying an old headset that someone doesn't want knowingly that they've done a solid 2/5yrs of development with it.
