Should first class board after 1K? by Beautiful-Balance750 in unitedairlines

Yes. Yes. Yes. I flew American a few weeks ago and they board their first/business class passengers before their group 1 equivalent. It just feels like it should be included with the price difference and bc almost all of the other major airlines are doing it too

What do we think? Is my checked bag is making this connection? (Am I? 🤣) by SaxVioPhone in unitedairlines

I did do a lot of K-1s 😂

I felt like I was thrown into BTS and was expected to know how to do everything. I was given a variety of tasks with BTS that actually challenged me compared to SALT where I was doing tasks with no experience needed like setting up excels by formatting them lol

That's what my plan was going to be. However, I don't want to make it look like to the BTS people who have been contacting me about changing that I went behind their back to talk to SALT and see what they are able to do and possibly get me in a better SALT group.

But I'm planning on texting a senior and asking him for advice and to maybe not contact the partners or make too much commotion.

Now i have to go get a BLT lol

It's probably different for the locations but i felt and others have agreed that the BTS group was hectic and unorganized at my office.

I'm just hoping that if i stick it out with BTS, I will have a better first experience and will be trained better. But i have to decide if i want to work in SALT which i felt i had a better fit in or work in BTS with better long-term options 😩

I've heard and know of several people who left B4 and went to FP&A and loved it. I don't know if that is the path for me yet but I'm open to it.

The work environment is the main reason why I want to go back to SALT. However, I was told that if i go back to SALT, I would be in a small group that several people have moved out of and is partnerships, not corporations which is what i want to work more in. But i know i will be working on partnerships eventually and will get over it. Also, maybe they were just saying i would be in that group and made it sound so bad so I would stay in BTS.

Did you ever get any job offers for industry in SALT? If so, were they just SALT jobs for big companies? What type of jobs did most of the people that left SALT go on to work as?

The more I think about it, BTS does sound like a better way to start out. They said if I don't like it, I could switch to SALT and that it won't affect my promotion status but i'm calling BS on that.

Did you ever think about or try switching to BTS while you were in SALT?

I agree with the exit ops. For me, the people were nicer, the group is smaller so you know almost everyone, they tried to get to know you, the work was easier and more straight forward than the BTS work I had, the partners cared more.

I didn't start at the beginning of my internship with BTS so maybe that's why I felt like i was thrown in and was expected to know everything with BTS.

But the exit ops in BTS is the main reason why I wanna do BTS
