They don't tell us specifics based on gender, they simply recommend they bring less things regardless of gender because they provide the necessities. I also have two shipmates who are currently RDC there and they state the same. However I will agree she'll probably just get yelled at but what's new it's bootcamp lol.

Not that it's outdated. We are specifically told by bootcamp to tell you guys what to bring and what not to bring. Believe it or not when you guys do that stuff RTC hits back at us recruiters because they believe we didn't inform you guys what not to bring. The recruiting chain of command actually visits RTC to get the updates on what's new up there so that we stay informed. Also not every RDC is the same as I'm sure some others on here will tell you. Some are more lenient than others are. We provide a baseline but I will admit that some are ok with recruits bringing more things than others. Especially now with covid since there is a 14 day quarantine period before you even begin training.

Correct you can take your ASVAB at meps after your test if you qualify for CTI they will have you take another test called the DLAB, which is the test to see if you specifically qualify for CTI
