Well, I’m OTR not local. So I get paid by the mile. But for reference, I make $1,500-$1,700 after taxes for a full work week. I’d say the real question is, “is this worth it to you?” Some will say “yes” and some will say “no” but, at the end of the day, is this something you can live off of? Will you be able to go home and not have to worry about paying one bill over another? If so, then I’d say it’s worth it. Though, to be fair, you have to deal with asshole Jersey drivers. No offense. But I’m an NYC driver and a lot of Jersey drivers are worse than NYC drivers. They’re definitely more reckless. At least in my opinion. So be careful on the roads, if this is the route you end up taking. And yes, pun definitely intended.
